  1. Have tried several times to download the two files on Bottom Trawled Fishing Gear. Don't seem to be having any success.
  2. Nice to see you out there today. We knew you were on your own when we saw you had eight rods set up, but only fishing with four!
  3. Fisheagle has crew, but is still awaiting some windless parts. Been going on too long now.
  4. Well done on the sale. I am sure they will enjoy her. She will make a very good project boat. Allan.
  5. Matt has done work for me on a couple of occasions and has just made up a lazer cut plate for the front of Fisheagle for the new windless and welded on a self launching bow roller. Very approachable and very reasonably priced . Coddy may put up a before and after blog to show the quality of the work and what was involved on the Club Site .
  6. Looks like a streaked with a steep head like that and seems to have lateral line with small spines.
  7. Thanks for letting me know Graham. Allan.
  8. No problem, just taken it off the boat so it is now at Broadstone. There is splice at 300 feet where I joined on 150 feet of new rope. If you still want it or would like to see if the splice is ok. with your winch, I can bring it over to Cobbs. Allan.
  9. No problem Mike. I will save them for you until you have chance to view/ collect or meet at Cobbs as they are still on the boat. Allan.
  10. Approx 2 years old. The last 150 feet has probably never been in the sea. £100. 2. 24 feet approx of 8mm. Galvanised anchor chain. Used. £25. 3. Bruce Type Anchor. 10 kilos.and approx 24 feet of 8mm chain. Both used. £50. Available Broadstone, Poole. Please pm. If interested. Allan.
  11. Will probably be out on Friday night about 6.00 pm. untill late. We may try for a sole or go for mullet and a gilt head with with some sort of rockling as a bonus depending on light and conditions. Allan
  12. Just finishing off a fairly uneventful day in the Bay and drowning a few worms with Yann in the Swashwhen we noticed smoke coming from a yacht about 100 yards away. We were beaten there by a few seconds by another boat who managed to get the crew off. Passengers on the Condor were all out watching. Three minutes later, the inshore lifeboat arrived followed by the main boat. They were very lucky. We don't know the final outcome as we had to leave to catch the 7.30 bridge suspect it was towed away as it was well on fire and the mast had collapsed. Have asked Dave to put up a picture or two.
  13. Suspect Foxy Fisher 3 and Kev will also be out and about.
  14. Hoping to get out a fair bit further than normal this Sunday if the weather holds. Is anyone else out? On Ch. 6. Allan.
  15. Hope the outcome is satifactory. She is superb boat and probably has a higher specification than any other in the UK. If you are ever down this way, you will always be welcome out on mine. Good Luck. Allan.
  16. The other ID feature is the pre opercular spine which is like as single spine before the gill cover ( operculum). It can just be made out on the picture.
  17. The weather window held and Dave and myself headed to a deep water mark for some late season bream. Fish were plentiful and averaged between two and two and a half pounds. We had hoped for a few larger ones, but it didn't happen. Two keepers kept and all others returned, so a good start. Then a few miles nearer to Poole. Dave had said he wanted to catch a small eye for his person species tally. The fish soon obliged with one each. A few mackeral had shown at both marks with the odd full string. Some reasonable fish, but lots of small ones. Having got Dave's rays, it was now my turn with a couple of new species for the boat. Namely, a grey gurnard and a humble dab. I hope the distinctive black spot on the first dorsal fin of the grey gurnard shows in the photo. A solitary plaice, a garfish, some small bream and lots of dogs until the pack tope arrived and the fishing died. A few drifts on the way home produced several undersized bass and some sizeable plaice for both of us with two being kept. A few wrasse, gobies and other bits and bobs while waiting for the bridges gave us16 species on day which was not intended as a species hunt.
  18. Well done on the sale. It really does take off the pressure. They new boat looked great.
  19. Several members are interested, Oli has first reserve over the weekend pending measurements.
  20. SOLD 4 person canister Offshore Liferaft for sale. The first 3 year service was carried out by Seago on the 12/05/15 so there are almost 2 years left before the next 3 year service is due. According to the Fource Four Catalogue, they should be good for up to 12 years, so it has plenty of life left. The cost new is shown at £649. Will accept £300. Can arrange free local delivery or collect from Broadstone, Poole. Please pm if interested. Allan.
  21. Happy Birhday Charlie. Hope you have a great day. Maybe a bit of fishing?
  22. Well done Nige, now where can I buy a good black marker pen?
  23. Still waiting.
  24. I have received the Magasine, but has anyone had their freebies? I'm still waitng.
