  1. Well done Paul, what a cracking fish and so closely followed by James's Conger. Suprised you struggled for mackeral, but I suspect they were all in the Solent as we were getting strings of them whenever we wanted fresh bait. Coddy
  2. Well I am off for the week-end fishing the Solent and meeting up with some friends. If I manage to catch a biggy I will motor past St.Catherines and boat it in club waters! Good luck to those in the club comp and I hope you all have a good time. Trev, Steve has the lifebuoy on board so will pass it onto you later next week. All the best Coddy
  3. Bob See attachment here is the current list from NFSA, it is in PDF file format Coddy
  4. Now that's going to be some hot curry! Coddy
  5. HAPPY BIRTDAY Trev Hope you have a good one and we see that boat on the water very soon Coddy
  6. In my case it would be a total scrub down of the boat so no "Fishy" smells are around or odd bits of old squid or worms floating around before she would set foot on it. Oh of course the sea state would have to be like a mill pond! Coddy
  7. Hi I would normally be at this comp but it clashes with another I attend which has been on the books for a year. We will be fishing the East of IOW on a species comp but mainly targeting Bream, Smoothounds & Tope. Two days of good company, laughs and the odd sherbert as I am staying in a pub over the week-end. Good luck to those entering the club's comp. Coddy

  9. Happy Birthday Sam Hope you have a great day and get lots of presies. I expect you will be looking forward to next year and then drive a car! Have a nice one matey Coddy
  10. Well done, some great fish in a short time. Not sure if you are interested but have you read the adventures of a Hardy owner going around the UK starting and returning at Poole. Small Boat, Big Island Makes a good read. Coddy
  11. Hi Kam Hope you had a good time as it looked like it. One question, did you manage to bring any fish back as I always thought that you could not bring anything home. Coddy
  12. I would have loved to come but my car, the towing vehicle, is stuck in the garage over the B/Holiday! Coddy
  13. Hi Steve Good luck if you manage to get out over the week-end. See you for the following week-end. When you have had a chance to get to know how Sea Mouse behaves I would love to get a report from you about the boat and any electronics that you might have replaced for my web site. See you soon Coddy
  14. Hi Tom You missed me from your list Coddy aka Dave (Sammy)

  17. Hark, do I hear violins playing in the background? I suppose you use to live in a cardboard box and when you went to school you had no shoes etc. etc. Now those were the times when boys were boys and men were men! Coddy
  18. Hi Terry Did not get that far only to P/Bill and Boleze Cove, Weymouth. Jet ski's were leaping off the waves/swell Saw one guy trying to get his jetski onto a trailer and the sea was throwing it everywhere but near the trailer. As said the wind and kite surfers having a field day with the sea almost to themselves. I suspect Old Harry and St.Albans head was a rough area to be. Coddy
  19. I am not available for the week-end of the 3rd-4th June as well as I have another comp on for the whole week-end. Coddy
  20. Hi Gordon Apart from the usual BassPro shops which are great for discounted products and even the FPO would like to wander the clothing area! Most local shops I have seen have been from tin sheds to the usual shops where information and prices are just as keen. You need to know the UK prices as some are more expensive than the uk. Have a good trip Coddy
  21. I have just come home from a trip down to Portland Bill Spectacular waves crashing onto the rocks however. NO boats out except for a coaster sheltering in the bay! Me thinks they knew it was not a good day to be out on the sea, many ferrys have reduced or cancelled services today and maybe tomorrow! Coddy
  22. Nope as I don't buy that mag but it is in BFM Coddy
  23. Found this on another forum The video is poor but I can think of a number of other uses it may well get put to! Beach Launcher Coddy

    Anti-foul - How?

Hi all Thanks for the advice, the problem is I am trying to reduce my outgoings if possible, as I currently have to store the boat away from home so I have to remove everything in any case. I have not committed to anything yet and I am still in two minds about it. For me the advantage would be to "pop out" whenever I wanted without the hassle of launching but then not being able to flush the engine would be another issue! The thought of a secure, if there is such a thing, pontoon berth is great but the cost is an issue. Thanks again for your thoughts and how to antifoul. Coddy
  25. Hi all experts who keep their craft on wet moorings I may have a chance of a wet mooring for my Warrior but will need to do the dreaded antifoul treatment. How high does the line have to be? Do you have to add any other lines? Not having done this before any help would be appreciated. Coddy
