Corrr...tasty. I'm gunna have to get my flounder tactics sorted this year.

Bl@@dy supurb, Rich. A masterpiece. I'm really looking forward to it. Roll on Xmas!!

Let's just say the dog turned her nose up at him. He wasn't looking (or smelling) his best. I dred to think what a fish like that would cost to buy (alive & fit). Sad to see him go like that.
-
Good luck with everything tomorrow. I'll be decorating...oh, joy!!
-
The worst bit is that there's no more room left in the garden to bury him (too many hamsters, rabbits, budgies, guinea-pigs), so he got unceremoniously dumped at the local refuse tip. I hope he'll forgive me...

Lost my buddy Sharky today. Outwardly he looked fine, but he hadn't been eating. Thought it was just the cold weather. Found him floating on the surface of the pond under his favourite waterfall. 18lb of thoroughbred Koi. I'll miss hand-feeding him in the mornings, and the Mrs will miss having her toes sucked. He'd of put any Dyson to shame with the amount of suction he had. A gentle giant that'll be greatly missed by his other buddies in the pond. Goodbye, Sharky.

Did you see bearded burbler out there? "Tell yer mother about the rabbit"

Me too. Please accept my apologies.

Not a good comparison though, Paul. If I remember correctly, the trim of your boat with your Honda was never really right, hence the slow speeds you had. It would never have achieved optimum fuel economy when not trimmed out. Your E-tec has power trim and tilt which has allowed you to properly trim the boat. Or am I mistaken (as usual)?
-
Are you on commission, Paul?

Was going to nip out today, but decided the weather window was too iffy to make the effort worthwhile. Took little Rob to Todber Lakes instead. Wish I hadn't bothered. He hammered me!! I couldn't hook a thing. Thought you only had to shake your keys at these lake fish and you'd catch something. Rob managed 3 nice Carp. BF

...and with a choice of "bad woman" or "bigger boat!"
-
Where's the "I'm going fishing, honey" button?
-
Hmm, we'll have to have a look through the return slips Gordon and see if we (I)missed it. Paul J, can you see if Gordon's slip is in the green envelope? We wouldn't want to deny Gordon a place in the Hall of Fame. cheers BF

Sounds aptly named (passing the torch from one to another). Thanks for the warning, Jack. BF

I wish I lived in Alun's house...

Yes, I agree. Very annoying. Unfortunately, there were other activities going on. Hopefully next year we can avoid this. cheers BF

Ooops! Yes, sorry. Forgot the B.A.S.S trophy. I thought the inclusion of the B.A.S.S. Catch & Release Prize was an excellent idea. It brought a welcome new dimension to the competition, and got the competitors thinking about different tactics on the day. Some competitors were a bit sceptable about the trophy prior to the event, but I was pleased to hear people postively discussing B.A.S.S at the weigh-in and prize giving, and interested in who had won. Even if some of it was at the expense of our Conversation Officer, who mistakingly put a winning fish back without photographing or recording it. Anyway, all of this helps B.A.S.S. to promote their cause. BF
