Fitting another Mariner will keep the cost down, since all the cables/connections are the same, all you change is the outboard itself, ie, no drilling, no threading thru cables etc. I can't see it being more than 2 hours of work. On the other hand, fitting a different brand could mean laying new cables etc and can cost

I have a spare trailer board (bought from Towsure) you can have, but it has only 6 m of cable. I used it with my Shetland which was 18' long with an entension, adding up to 4' and it worked fine.
