Rex Hunt said in his programme, slush is better then ice on their own. He recommends adding sea water to ice to make slush, apparently the slush will stay cold for longer than just ice, can an physist confirm this?
The cattle market in Salisbury hold auctions for bankrupt catering/restuarant equipment monthing or bi-monthly. some cracking stuff if you have the time to look thru them.
I make my own ice. It'll take me a day to make eough ice for the coleman box. I just fill trays or bowl with an inch of water, freeze it in the big freezer.
I had and still use a large coleman, I really rate them, I once put 3 large blocks of ice in it and left it in the garage, and reminants of them are visible after 3 days. I recken if I line the box with foil I can delay the rate of the ice melts.
No icebox is gonna work well if you keep opening the lid.
I remembered reading about it a couple of years ago in the Echo, apparently they grow fast and are very tasty. Wouldn't mind plugging for one on light gear.
It just goes to show how popular the pbsbac website is, even searches from down under located this site. Well done to all te admin and techno wizzards who help to make this site possible.

Great let go down and burgle Mike's boat next week.
Seriously, Cobbs hasn't got that good of a security reputation, so I won't shout at the top of my voice you have gears down at your boat.
MMSI number is link to the DS unit, if you sell the boat with the unit on it, then the mmsi number goes to the new owner too. On theory if you retain the unit, you keep the mmsi number (not sure if you can change the name of vessel tho).
Your lifetime licence is a life time licence to use a vhf radio on your boat regardless if you have a vhf with DSC/MMSI.
I bought mine from Chalkbait, good bloke.
When they first came out, there were only 3 colours, but then the brought out purple or somethig for another reel and people went nuts for them, then they started doing all the extra colours on all the reels.
