    Why we fish

Just copied this from someones signature on WSF and thought it should be shared. Next time your wife tells you the lawn needs cutting, tell her this. Three quarters of the Earth's surface is water, and one quarter is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
  2. No, just hoping they've got it wrong yet again.

  5. Is that anywhere near in Continent? Or is that in Appropriate?
  6. I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone. I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work. I live close so it's a short drive. I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore. I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm. Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older. One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenaline flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get! And, sometimes I think I am in Vincible but life shows me I am not. People keep telling me I'm in Denial but I'm positive I've never been there before! I have been in Deep sh1t many times; the older I get, the easier it is to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there.
  7. Happy Birthday Rob.

    The Disco

A Husband takes the wife to a disco. There's a guy on the dance floor giving it large - break dancing, moon walking, back flips, the works. The wife turns to her husband and says: "See that guy? 25 years ago he proposed to me and I turned him down." Husband says: "Looks like he's still bloody celebrating!!!

  15. When Derek collected our spare prop from Propellor Solutions, they told him they're going to stop repairing props. I hope they have second thoughts.

    Black beauty

You can't keep bass from 30 April to 1st November within the nursery area, so you could legally have kept it.
  17. Happy birthday
  18. Yes. If you're not getting the speed, you won't get the revs. You won't make the prop slip more.
  19. About 40 years ago the we were looking at ways of reducing the drag of warships, to gain speed for less fuel. We fitted nozzles at the bow and injected all sorts of "slime" etc. to make the hull more slippery. It didn't work, most resulted in a loss of speed or increased fuel consumption.
  20. A bit of slime could easily knock 2 kts off your speed.
  21. Jamie I'm probably going down to Rockley on Thursday, if I do, I'll pop the manual in. I don't need it so you're welcome.

  24. Jamie Here's the Fault Diagnosis taken from the Perkins Prima manual (the base engine for your TAMD22). Page 1, Symptoms.
  25. Hi Jamie It's based on the Perkins Prima engine. I've got a Handbook if you'd like to borrow it (I might be persuaded to part with it).
