  5. If you're going to use a "pole", you don't need sonar. When he shouts, you're too shallow.

  7. Just to remind members that they should have renewed by now, you're running out of time if you want to avoid the joining fee. We ended 2011/12 with 210 members. To date 137 have renewed and we have 18 new members, making a total of 155. So far 73 have not renewed. (@ 19:00 on 28th May). Membership renewals can be paid as follows: - via the website paypal link. (
  8. Hi Derek Two easy ways: 1. You can see the Club Only Section 2. Look in your post above this one, on the left it says "Club Member", so you're ok. People who haven't paid will see "Forum Member".
  9. I'm doing a bit of detective work, trying to fill in a few gaps in the data.
  10. Looking at the spreadsheet, it maybe because your webname wasn't against your name. Martin, "steve m" is Stephen Morris.

    Sat Nav

I have a little Satnav It sits there in my car A Satnav is a driver's friend It tells you where you are I have a little Satnav I've had it all my life It does more than the normal one My Satnav is my wife It gives me full instructions On exactly how to drive "It's thirty miles an hour" it says "And you're doing thirty five" It tells me when to stop and start And when to use the brake And tells me that it's never ever Safe to overtake It tells me when a light is red And when it goes to green It seems to know instinctively Just when to intervene It lists the vehicles just in front It lists those to the rear And taking this into account It specifies my gear I'm sure no other driver Has so helpful a device For when we leave and lock the car It still gives its advice It fills me up with counselling Each journey's pretty fraught So why don't I exchange it And get a quieter sort? Ah well, you see, it cleans the house Makes sure I'm properly fed It washes all my shirts and things And - keeps me warm in bed!
  17. Jim pm sent.
  18. I have a remote controlled searchlight that I was going to fit to previous boat, but never did. It has a sealed beam light at the front and a low wattage light at the back which can be used as a deck light. They're switched independently. It has a suction base fitted but this can be replaced with a solid base (included) for permanent fitting.
  19. Dave I sort of hinted at that, but in a more diplomatic way!!!!!
  20. Graham, your Suzuki DF115, like my DF70, doesn't need a primer bulb. Although I've got one as it helps refill the "filter/water separator" when I change the filter. If the primer bulb is being sucked in, it must be trying to pull a vacuum, which suggests there's something restricting the fuel flow from the tank to the bulb: 1. Is the fuel tank breather clear? 2. Is there a filter on the bottom of the fuel pickup tube in the tank and if so is it clear?

  22. Jim I've been in touch. At the moment all their time appears to be taken up with preparation for the Olympics. Here's the reply I got. Dear Brian Our Marine Section officers would normally give talks on boat security/crime prevention. However, I believe they are very busy at present and unlikely to be able to commit to this. I will ask them what information/presentations they may have and see if they can pass to me. I may then be able to assist with some advice for your members.
