Derek My main engine is bolted on and secured with a lock as shown by Jim. It's my aux that's the problem, as it mounts on a lifting bracket.

Hi Paul That's why I want to fit a lock, so the insurance company are happy. I realise nothing will stop the determined thief. It's just a case of taking reasonable precautions.

I realise that, trouble is it's a pain. Normally I'd take it home but if I go out for an evening the boat is left on the pontoon overnight. With the boat on the pontoon I'd have trouble removing it to take it home.
