  5. I was talking to an ex mayor of Poole who agrees. He'a still got all the plans for a fixed span bridge that would have gone across to the Holes Bay Road, he also had funds sorted. Apparently others on the council wanted something different.
  6. Hi Trevor They're yours, do you want me to bring them on Thursday?
  7. I have a pair of wooden oars for sale. Overall length = 1.79m (5ft 10.5ins).
  8. I purchased this, intending to install it in my driveway as extra security for my boat, but never got around to fitting it. It's now surplass to requirements as I'm going to Dry Store MegaByte at Rockley. It's as new, with a 50mm ball on top so that the hitch can be locked on as an extra security measure. It cost me

  15. Jon I live in Upton as do a lot of my friends, so I've put it on Facebook for them to see. I didn't post your phone numbers, I asked them to contact me and I'll pass it on. Good luck.
  16. Had grandson, Thomas, for the day. Asked him what he wanted to do, the answer was go fishing, so MegaByte had her first trip since March. We had a nice day but only one fish, a corkwing wrasse, gets me off the bottom of the YLSH. Gave me a chance to play with the new HDS-5.

    New Boat

    Congratulations When's the maiden voyage?
  20. Another great report, I always enjoy reading about your exploits.
  21. Dave I realise that's the theory, but in practice have they got the resources? I ask because when I suggested putting signs up at Baiter slipway and on the shore at Holes Bay, showing the minimum sizes. The answer was they didn't have the money to do it. I asked after seeing a chap fishing along Holes Bay Road, who had a pile of Bass, all less than 12". He didn't know there was a minimum size!!!
  22. Yes. But saying catching on an "electronic flash memory data storage device", doesn't exactly slip of the tongue!!!!!
  23. Wow!!! The chances of catching that on film?????
  24. I used to dig my own bait, but since having back trouble if I dug bait I'd be unable to fish, so I have to buy. I'd support the proposal if it stops the cowboys who turn up and ruin an area. How would they enforce it?
