Hi Jim Surely after reading the spec and looking at the photos, you must of had second thoughts about selling Small Fry. (Don't forget grandkids get bigger and therefore need more room, not less).

If it was the "gear shift protection", the gauges etc would still work and be illuminated. My money's on a supply/earth fault or faulty ignition switch.

That was my first thought. Presumably the fuse in the lead from the battery to the control lever is ok. It's the white wire that goes onto the battery +ve with the main starter cable.

I hope it will be re-scheduled but it says cancelled not postponed, so maybe not.

We used to tow a dinghy, used it for going ashore (e.g. Brownsea, Studland etc.). Adam By memory I'd say the fishing was much better, but maybe I only remember the the good days. Had to have more patience with a slow boat, decide where to fish and stick with it.

Life was much more sedate in 1982, 6 knts flat out, but a gallon seemed to last for ever.
