  1. Hi Greg Is that from the chain ferry inwards? Always good to have an exact limit to work too If so remember the nursary area for Bass guys and girls
  2. Hi All Apologies I misread an email at work and passed on duff info. Hope that the weather plays ball on Sunday and we can get afloat with Jayden and Possibly Jack Tight lines all
  3. Please be aware of powerboats racing in the bay Oli has put up another thread on this and I have just received to following Dear all To answer your enquiry, details of our racing in Poole Bay are as follows: 09:45 – 11:00 Large boats passing through the bay on a course SW Shingles - Boscombe Pier – Bournemouth Pier – Peveril Ledge. 10:00 – 11:30 Smaller boats passing through the bay on a course Hengistbury Head - Boscombe Pier – Bournemouth Pier – Perenco Wytch Farm – SW Shingles. 15:00 – 16-30 Larger boats pass back through the bay on a course Peveril Ledge – Perenco Wytch Farm – Needled Fairway. In addition I believe the P1 boats will be racing in the area around the piers all afternoon but Robert Wicks can proide further detaisl of this. Please get in touch if you require any further information. Best regards Rob Andrews
  4. Probably right Adam Even my best day on the turbo's was hardly exhausting. In fact the first fish on the way home was a medium sized Pollack in 50m of water at the French holes and outfought them all. In fact the Nannal's pollack fight harder. Still a good result though, to go fishing and be knackered from catching so many is a fisherman's dream come true.
  5. "Just about recovered from hauling turbot" Bit of an exageration mate, in may I was using my bass spinning rod, they hardly pull your arms off.
  6. Well done Adam It has been a bit fresh here all day. I hope that you get a few Bass and Turbot for your efforts, are you staying with mark or on board?
  7. Thanks Greg Hope that you are all having a great holiday.
  8. Hi Greg Can we please see a list of results from the first junior comp. Please also put my grandson Jayden Wald down as fishing on Alfresco for the next two rounds. If the weather is right we may even have his little brother Jack onboard as well on the 28th August. Thanks
  9. Not this time Steve Getting a bit close to our holiday
  10. Gary Sorry to hear that you have lost your anchor, all of us that fish the wrecks have done it mate. Although I have never had one I am led to believe from good sources that a delta anchor or even a copy hold better than the Bruce and its copies. chain must be at least as long as the boat and a fair bit heavier than the anchor if lifting with an Alderney ring. Quay West chandlers here at the Yacht Club are a good source, ask for Club discount and Peter will look after you. 01202 732233 Charlie

    Medicare Plan G

Trouble is they do not let you out at weekends to go fishing.
  16. As the August date get closer and family plans firm up I will get in touch. Sam and Jayden will be the first to know if Alfresco becomes available.
  17. What reel is it Kev? On our holidays the fish like the lures to be moving quickly. But the reels need to be tough
  18. Sounds like a great trip Well done all, especially Fred for his offer in the first place. Now where was that shark?? I have two lads that would love another encounter with one.
  19. Great news Tony Just in time for the arrival of Mackerel in the bay and some beasties that like them for dinner. get a couple of trips in before Torquay
  20. Hi Mal Found it easier and quicker to put the waypoints into the PC software for my lowrance (mapcreate6 came with it) Then save to SD card and load from that to the plotter. I think you can download the software free from the lowrance site
  21. Agree 100% with Jim Well done all concerned and tight lines if it is the fishing trip option.
