  8. last weekend there were far more fish at the patch than at our normal Ballard marks It is a rough terrain and you do lose a few bits of tackle. But you can anchor uptide and away from the rough bits and let the baits trot back which helps a lot Good luck
  9. Nice result Well done all. What did everyone think of this format?? I thought it worked very well, allowed more Members to join in when they had a pass over the weekend and it gave a few of us a chance to nip out a second time to "Use up the spare worms" Even if it did have me scratching my head on some of the mini species from the patch. Yes Stuie I did have to buy smaller hooks. Lol I would be interested to hear what Neal and Mal thoughts are from the organising and Safety aspects, as well as Members views from a competitors point of view. Would get my vote as an annual Easter species comp
  10. Fridays Fish Sam ballen Wrasse Pout Black Bream Goby Small eyed Ray Will Pout Lesser spotted dogfish Charlie Pout Ballions Wrasse Tub Gurnard Turbot Smoothound Small eyed Ray Reg added Plaice to this years fish list and a big squid for the Barbie
  11. Thanks Stuie That Format sounds great. I hope that all the members that get out this weekend book in and join in. A good turnout and result could give the Committee an indication if other comps should consider this format.
  12. Hi Neal Can you please confirm that this is a Members total comp and not a boat total. Do we just have to just nominate a day as Sam has or are times also required? Charlie
  13. Hi Will Happy Birthday buddy see you later with the boys for a bit of trip planning and a takeaway

  22. Every year at work we collect up members unwanted equipment and sell it off for the Yacht Club Members and Club charity. Some take a share and others let all the proceeds go to charity as we do with our Club. This year instead of Beaulieu, it is going to Canford Magna. The current collection includes a Furono Radar that may be of interest to someone in our Club. The information that I have is; Furuno Radar Scanner RSB 0087 Scanstrut [Mast Mount] Navnet display/plotter All working when professionally de-Commissioned in 2016. If interested please contact Richard Drew 07768 642742. £150.00

    Peter

So Sorry to hear this very sad news Matt, I hope that you and your Family are able to remember the happy times as you grieve for Peter. We have some great memories from our trips to Alderney together. I am sure you and Dad discussed the trip back in 2011 many times, when you showed the bigger boats the way. And the day that you taught us the way to fish for the flatties, catching three times as many as we did [32 was it?] between just you and Dad. Deepest condolences my friend. If you need a trip out in the future, even if its just to clear your head, please get in touch 07887 794716 Charlie
