  1. Happy Birthday Steve Have a Great Day
  2. They may make it into a conservation or Nursery area, but without letting us know what restrictions that brings [if any] and enforcement its just hot air. These rays seem to be well spread through our area, which is great news.
  3. They do it for fun, even in this weather
  4. Well done on getting such good fish in the first place Steve, a picture and putting them back is far better than harming them In my opinion. As you say getting true weight on a boat is hard enough, dropping your anchor and paddling to shore just to weigh one is a bit too extreme. The pictures and reports are well worth sharing, thanks for them they brighten up a dull day.
  5. great report Steve would love to see a video of the landing LOL that is a great Ray, shame you could not weigh it
  6. Sorry to hear that Tony she never seems to like to leave Weymouth.
  7. Some fight whatever you get them on
  8. We sometimes wonder mate
  9. Good substitute Ian Great company and a good angler. Do not be sidetracked by his power naps. When he wakes up he often gets the big fish.
  10. Tight lines mate I would go early to avoid the crowds
  11. great report guys Sounds like you worked for your fish, but got good reward for your efforts
  12. Hi Rob I was going to ask about the weaver, will remember that in Weymouth as we get plenty on the shambles. What editing program do you use? I have loads of holiday Go Pro footage that I still need to edit.
  13. Too late LOL where are those poppers?
  14. Hi Carlos We have plenty of Members that do not own boats, if you join you will be in good company and have the opportunity to make friends that share a mutual interest in recreational Angling. Most are keen, not all have a competitive urge so the Club tries to offer a great variety of fishing, social and training activities. Join up and enjoy being a Member.
  15. Very interesting Rob, thanks for sharing lots of rays at that first mark, that seemed more interested in the boom than the bait, which explains why Sam caught a blonde on a sidewinder as we drifted a bank on Sunday. amazed to see the turbot take the bait while inverted, and get off. I wonder how many we lose that way then just think that we snagged the bottom
  16. Going sharking Rob? Making way for a bit more bling Adam?
  17. Good luck Nigel Hope the sea trail goes well Martin have you seen Sundays forecast?
  18. You realy are getting the hang of it now jim Mrs talking you into going out, and doing the work You will be telling us that she lit the BBQ next, put the mackeral on and poured you a beer next. Lol

    Sunday

Tight lines all We will be on 6 from about 0730
  20. Wendy has gone up to look after her dad this weekend, and has had to change her working hours next week. So even though we are very keen to go, it will have to be after she finishes work on Friday to Sunday evening for us. It would be great to have a few more on the trip.
  21. Well done all It looks and sounds like you all enjoyed a great trip, much deserved after your winter/spring efforts We wish that we could have come with you. we have missed two years now so we are looking forward to joining the trip Alderney 2016.
  22. Well done Sam And a huge well done to all of the junior anglers that have taken part so far Let's hope for a full day of good weather for round three
  23. Hi Martin My advice would be to get it cleared by a Diver if you can, but if you are in any doubt have her lifted for a full check out of the water. also check on the prop shaft that there has been no internal movement of the shaft in the coupling.
  24. Not the usual list of big fish mate we also had a quiet time two spotted and a single doggie, before socialising with Martin and Veronica on Madness
  25. Glad it went well Charlie Looking after the juniors afloat is hard work . Sorry to be picky but Sams ray is a small blonde mate, great to see the pictures. Can you email me the ones of us please I can imagine the excitement onboard all the way to the final whistle when the boys crash and burn, then have a nap. This makes it all worth while
