  3. Looks like alfresco did when she was craned into the garden Except that the outside is done and ready to go engine fitted etc, so its only the inside to do mate Not sure only is the right word Adam, good luck
  4. Is this also the ray comp as discussed at last weeks meeting Neal?
  5. Someone told me the other day that plice and all rays were banned for commercial fishing, but I have not seen anything in print and there seem to be a lot of nets about.

  10. Hi mate I know that you both bought the boat with the intension to do her up to the standard of JV1, Not sure that you were expecting some of the things you have found so far, or the ejecter seat. Some of these pictures shows what not to do. But it's all fixable buddy. Huge respect to Percy for getting her in to your garden, told you he was a good un. We all know the boat will be a cracker, when he picks her up in the spring Then look out fishes Charlie
  11. Great stuff Rob Well done for all that effort and the fish.
  12. Just bought a diamond sharpener, must remember to put it in my tackle box.
  13. Well done George and the rest of your team Like others I look forward to reading a report
  14. I find it hard to believe that there are knives out there that do not loose there edge at all, but then again I do not pay £40.00 or more for mine. [i was presented with the last two as club prizes] I carry several and usually swap over when one looses its edge, sharpening with a steel works for a while, but sooner or later they have to be sharpened properly on a stone as I like them to be sharp.
  15. Hi George Well done again, perhaps we can all make use of the lessons that you will no doubt learn this week from your time with the rest of the England team and during the competition from the other teams too. By picking your brains at a future meeting I am sure that some of us can improve our skills in loads of areas. Its all right us old farts passing on what we have mostly taught ourselves, but you may well learn things this week that we are not aware of. Having fished on boats before with top match anglers, they have skills that are hard to match. Consistent results can not be put down to luck
  16. Nice Fish Mal and well done for letting it have another chance at breeding well done all that took part, especially the ones that landed some of the target species
  17. Well done George for being selected Good luck this week Most of all, enjoy it

  20. I talled to Navionics this week at the boat show, unfortunately this is not available for android yet, and generally the ipad iphone works much better than there android stuff. Just got home from a trip with Dave on reel magic, now there is a boat full of great simrad toys After a recent tune up they are all talking to each other, sounder much better, radar and overlay on the plotter is terrific
  21. Nice one Steve BA was a favorite beach venue in my youth
  22. How about a nice comfy setee
  23. Without a doubt Dans was bigger, but this one has much better photo, s
  24. I had that option on the lowrance at the end of building Alfresco, but opted to use the standard one instead. Even shooting through the hull it works fine And we have seen wrecks and fish that buddy boats following our drift apparently have not seen Charlie
  25. I think that i have some in my shed mate And some poles if you need them, they have been here since the boat launched so not sure if they need servicing.
