  3. Thats the next day mate.
  4. Well done Nige and Paul Some nice fish there mate Itching to get back out on the wrecks again.
  5. Do we want things of scientific interest, protecting fish stocks seems hard to enforce, but natural england protecting fan worms seems to get more priority.
  6. We have fished the kyarra loads of times, many times in the winter or at night Mostly small to medium conger and a lot of bait fish. Try the Aeolian sky for a lot more fish, pick small tides At this time of year before the divers start. Charlie
  7. Well done Ben She does go well, as you know, s he left Alfresco in her wake off of Alderney two years ago. I hope Steve leaves the secret numbers on the plotters.
  8. On or Off of the MCZ list what is the difference to actually doing any conservation? Last year the list of what could not be done in an MCZ seemed limited to say the least.
  9. hope you had a great day see you later
  10. Looking great mate Those trims and veneers will make it look good whichever you decide on. I would chose one of the lighter ones to contrast the teak edgings. Still not sure that the seat is high enough though, veneer make it hard to change later. Charlie
  11. Thanks Trevor
  12. Really Chris They are far to young that why I waited until Dan was 13, he was the one laying up the inside of hard to reach places. [They were smaller lads once] I have a picture somewhere I may add later Adam, Pete Trew has some other sealant adhesive in stock. stays workable in the tube longer than sikaflex, and a much bigger range of colours you can probably get it through your trade
  13. Thanks Guys
  14. Thanks Rob Was thinking a bit stronger than 10lb mate, lol
  15. We are off to do some fishing in very clear water The recomendation is to use fluorocarbon traces to the lures Which ones are popular Why do you use that one And where do you get yours? Thanks guys Charlie
  16. There was a time when you had to be a Club Champion to fish this comp. It was an honour to be selected to fish and represent your Club. We do not have a series of comps any more and therefore no Club Champion, Perhaps all of the winners of the various Club competitions should have a fish off, winner is then that years Club Champion.
  17. 50 not out buddy Hope you had a great day
  18. Happy birthday mate hope you have a good one
  19. Thanks very much for that Dave I built that one in the garden too and was about half way through when Sam was born We had her for 15 years and she was a great boat for the variety of things that we used her for, including teaching the boys to fish. She was not the long range boat that Alfresco is, but a great fishing boat none the less. Certainly landed a few fish on her. I wonder if she is still being used for shark fishing from Looe by the chap we sold her to. Charlie
  20. Nice fish Sam Great option for a wet windy day in half term Sorry to hear it took it out on Rob's finger, but that will be a good bar story
  21. Nice try Brian You would think they would tell you when you can not use your boats, especialy at half term. A proper marina would Lol
  22. Happy birthday mate Glad that you had a good day
  23. Glad that is sorted Steve Great white had a similar set up and worked fine until the fluid leaked, a simple fix, I resealed the tank with epoxy putty, then glassed it in.
  24. Is handlining allowed Or Jammy git Just a couple of thought that spring to mind, lol
  25. If shooting through paint degrades it that much I would not try shooting through the hull. Mine is simply the standard lowrance skimmer transducer, that has been epoxied on the inside of the hull. It is shooting through the hull, 5 coats of epoxy and many of antifoul paint. tracks the bottom at cruising speed [mine not Steve's] and picture improves when we slow a bit
