  1. I can feel the excitement from here Weather still seems OK, hope that you have a great trip. Do not forget that we have an agreed deal with the fuel and taxi prices.
  2. Leave my mate alone. Lol
  3. Wendy and I went over on the last night of Alderney week a few years back Pretty busy and a great firework dsiplay on the playing field Then a quarry party started that kept us awake into the night Enjoy the vibe lads, lots of stunned people around the harbour on Sunday morning

    Newbie here

Ditto Brian As many of us will agree, joining the Club is without doubt the best first step towards safer and more productive boat fishing on your Dell Quay.
  5. Can not make this weekend, as boat is signed up to the junior comp. I hope the weather plays ball and we can all get afloat. Tight Lines all
  6. Nice Great to read that your plan worked, shame about the weed
  7. I know a couple of people that have caught their best bass on chicken in Navy dockyards [hard to get bait on warships] so I expect that left overs thrown into the river is the answer
  8. Nice pictures, well done Curtis and Sophie Good to see the juniors enjoying the weather, as the wind picked up a bit we all moved inshore a bit. So were able to carry on fishing safely. Also nice to see that all juniors had lifejackets on
  9. Hard to plan even a 2 day Cherbourg trip with Wendy's Dad being unwell But if you have dates for a 2 day French trip please let me know, if we are available we will try to join in the past two years have been fun.
  10. I here that a recent copy had a lot of Members in, does anyone know which month that was?
  11. Well done Steve I am afraid that the lure of the tope has beaten us a few times too, aborting species comps once the Tope start feeding used to be a regular thing on my last boat. Some great fish and terrific pictures
  12. Like that one Brian
  13. Thanks Sam Well done to all 11 junior anglers All three on Alfresco slept on.the way in. Lol Let's hope for even better weather next time
  14. We are meeting before 8 to get out a bit earlier and check the weather. The intention to fish the patch may need to be changed, to get a bit more shelter We will be on channel 6 please give me a shout or give Sam a call on his mobile

You will be in good company at PBM You must be getting very excited
  16. Well done mate a couple more little snags to sort out and she will be zooming about bothering fish
  17. Tell that to Adam mate, LOL
  18. What worried me about our recent holiday was returning to the UK and feeling that fishing was not worth doing. Sure we caught some great holiday fish that really can pull hard. and in 10 days fishing we had something like 30 species from rock, beach and boats. The fishing and holiday were special to us. All of the planning and preparation was well worth it. Since coming back I have been out three times, broke a Club record inshore and had two great trips on the tope a bit further out. So traveling for really big fish is sometimes the only way, but there are rod benders in Club Waters that would bring a smile to any anglers face.
  19. Very pleased to hear that you have been offered spaces Paul, Thanks Nigel. Sam is busy keeping an eye on all of the forecasts, with fingers crossed Providing the weather is suitable for all boats we are looking forward to Sunday, Alfresco will be listening on channel 6 from 8am and I think all of the skippers have my mobile as well. Probably position ourselves somewhere near Speedy Rock Poole Patch, unless the forecast changes. I believe that the comp rules state all boats fish within a mile of us. Tight lines to all of the juniors
  20. got what they deserve
  21. The tug is the drug In UK you would struggle to get a stronger Tug, so that's the appeal to some.
  22. I see that you remembered to make a stowage for the kids mate, what a great idea. Is it sound proofed?

    Peeler Crab

I lived in Pompey when the big storm hit in 87 the hermits, slipper limpets and whelks were washed up stacked high dead on every beach. Up to that point the fishing had been great, after it was very poor. we moved to Poole not long after that. 9 years ago I booked a trip for Sam's birthday after the hounds on one of the top Langstone Boats , the skipper told me that the shellfish had never recovered from that storm, hermit pots were a thing of the past as there is nothing to catch.
  24. What a great evening that was Thanks to Martin and Veronoca for hosting the BBQ again at their house and garden Well done to them and all of the helpers Another great Club do
  25. Nice Lofty showed me the pictures earlier, respect to the angler
