  1. Look forward to seeing them in use on the Junior Comp mate
  2. I would think that these would make excellent rods for juniors to start with Charlie.
  3. Took two to carry my existing [and smaller] after the Cherbourg trip, but would have liked to have taken more Ice as for the second year running we went in hot weather and most of it melted. When I try it in my Vehicle and a Marina Trolley, I will soon know if it will be too big.
  4. Wow sounds like someone has pissed somebody off
  5. Hi Chris Thanks, I will buy this cooler and collect from Oli. But if it is going to be too big for me to transport when its full mate, I will give you a bell and first refusal. Charlie
  6. Hi Oli I will take that off your hands mate
  7. Hi Remove the cover off of the engine and locate the gear change and throttle controls on the end of the two cables. the easiest check is to move the throttle lever and see what happens, the gear change should move first and when fully engaged the throttle control should start to move immediately after. a better check is to disconnect the cable linkages at the engine end and see if you have excess play in the throttle cable [which sounds like the case] if so you need a new cable the same length and type. Probably a "morse" cable, you may need to remove the old one to get exact length [if you do put a cord through as you extract the old one, so it can be used to pull the new one through], the type is usually shown by the sleeve colour Probably nothing to do with hitting the rock, but could have been done I suppose when investigating what had happened Hope that helps Charlie
  8. Young black I would say

    Boat storage

Good luck with the decision making
  10. Thanks Chris You are a good man, always willing to help If the problems awaiting parts drags a bit I could well take you up on that kind offer. With one broken boat, I think that I would rather let you be the skipper. Mind you a few hours checking your plotters sounds good LOL
  11. Well done to all of tha juniors Great start to the comp and well done Rueben Lets hope that we have a boat for the next round
  12. Looks like the Blonde girl is choking, see is very lucky that her friend is able to use the Heimlich Manoeuvre to save her life. Or there would be a queue of fisherman trying to give her CPR
  13. Well done Dave
  14. We are in fact very lucky to get these When I lived around Portsmouth we did not see many I moved to this area 25 years ago started catching them quite often, and back then they did not have a specimen size listed with the NFSA after we started reporting them they were given a specimen size of 14lb. Lots of us now seem to beat that size fairly easily Have I told you about the one......................................... Lol [Just for you Rob]

Thanks all I think that we are still going to give it a go, with changing our minds as an ever present back up Three boats to give safety back up as usual Very unusual weather though, hope it blows through as we passage, not going to be fishing or anchoring in the sparks Bloody weather, even in a heat wave it turns to shite.
