Good to hear from you buddy boy Like all of your other friends in Poole all of the Chapmans wish you the very best for the future mate You know that your are always welcome on Alfresco Charlie
  3. Welcome geoff Good luck with your boat search Charlie
  4. I talled to Navionics this week at the boat show, unfortunately this is not available for android yet, and generally the ipad iphone works much better than there android stuff. Just got home from a trip with Dave on reel magic, now there is a boat full of great simrad toys After a recent tune up they are all talking to each other, sounder much better, radar and overlay on the plotter is terrific
  5. Nice one Steve BA was a favorite beach venue in my youth
  6. How about a nice comfy setee
  7. Without a doubt Dans was bigger, but this one has much better photo, s
  8. I had that option on the lowrance at the end of building Alfresco, but opted to use the standard one instead. Even shooting through the hull it works fine And we have seen wrecks and fish that buddy boats following our drift apparently have not seen Charlie
  9. I think that i have some in my shed mate And some poles if you need them, they have been here since the boat launched so not sure if they need servicing.
  10. Good one Rob I was also at the show yesterday Did anyone else notice Sweet Chariot, looking all shiny and new
  11. Chris you may have been looking for ridges where they were when the area was surveyed But after last winters storms they have moved
  12. Southampton boat show starts tomorrow, loads to look at there, pick the one you fancy than see what you can find, or get a boat show deal
  13. Nice mate
  14. Received a few great pictures from Charlie earlier Time to share
  15. Well done Sam, for taking this on. it was great to see all the Juniors playing together in your garden still wearing the hats that they had won, using the tackle prizes will come later. Well done and thanks to all of the helpers, boat skippers and especially those generous Members that donated prizes, and of course the Club for continueing to support and enhance the junior comp.
  16. Looking great mate Some serious boys toys
  17. Thanks guys It will be a toss up between watching planes and a conger trip next weekend
  18. Glad to hear the props were a success Sorry to hear about the warranty issues
  19. Thanks guys Looking forward to getting out there again fishing. Thanks for all the support lads, especially Dave and Chris for offering alternative boats for the Junior Comps and Dave for a trip last weekend on Reel Magic, what a boat that is. Can recommend Dan or Sam as able engineers for anyone needing assistance, they saved Dad a fortune over the past few weeks. The hardest thing for me is remembering that they no longer need to be told how to do things. Dan removes and replaces the leg almost routinely and his tools are better than mine LOL.
  20. After fairly extensive repairs the boat is now back on her mooring. Problem was caused by a failed intermediate shaft bearing, that also damaged the bell housing lake Engineering repaired [Re Sleeved] the housing, New bearings and seals and a few other jobs were done to the engine by the boys and I Last weekend engine in, leg on, reconnect everything Touch up the anti fouling and launch today. Look out fishes Back in time for Junior comp part two on Sunday, Air Show and an Indian summer Charlie
  21. She sure does Martin we have not done enough of it the past two seasons , since the Olympics got in the way lets hope we can do one next month
  22. Thanks Peter we should be in radio range Its a shame that we could not join your trip Martin, but Wendy is up looking after her Dad and after Daves offer I eased off the work on the boat and she is still ashore. Tight lines all
  23. Hi All I have just been invited wrecking by Dave on his new toy, which is great as it sounds better than working on Alfresco in the boatyard. Dave has asked me to put it on here to see if any other boats want to buddy up leaving between 6 and 7 going west, to get the breeze behind us on the way home and tides in our favour Charlie
  24. But the next place that offers to fill the box for a tenner may get a shock, lol
  25. It probably will in the Summer Alun Others can be left in the cars and can be used when we get back. But it needs to be topped up with Ice occasionally hence the need to fit in the car and trolley
