  1. Ebb tide There in three hours Adam Sounds more than possible
  2. Have fun Don't you just love playing with GRP in the summer, the fumes seem even more intense.
  3. When are you thinking of looking at this Peter?
  4. Looking great Good luck releasing it from the mould
  5. Nice one Sam I make that 11 juniors, so room for a few more Lets hope that the weather gods are kind, for the fishing and the barbeque. My thanks as well to all that have given prizes, volunteered boats etc And the Club for getting behind this. I am sure we can make this fun for the kids I taught my boys to fish when they were young and had great fun doing so When they grew bigger they talked mum into getting a bigger boat, RESULT.
  6. Silly her for believing that Jim Tell her its to make it safer for the grandchildren
  7. Great Adam Looks like a good start to the improvements I like to build up a good few layers of wetted GRP, Then roll it with a hard and ridged roller to get all of the air out, before it starts to set To see that there are no air pockets, it is easier if you do not add any pigment to the resin. I know that you are aware Adam, but others may not be.
  8. Instead of leaving the fishing kit alone and doing jobs at home
  9. After a great tripnlast year , its a shame that the weather has defeated us this year But like others we are now out.
  10. Thanks all must have been to much sun and falling down juice need to get back out in the fresh air with a rod in hand

    25mm

Wendy and I have just returned from 11 days in Turkey saw clouds on only one of them and the temp went up at about 1 degree Celsius a day High twenties at the start was fine, but low forties when we left was a bit much. Less tanned post holiday than usual, due to need for air con/ shade / bar
  16. No mate As much as we want to get fishing Other things have now come up that stop us going for the long weekend.
  17. While away I changed my plan due to family matters, these may now have changed but like Adam I have now started to think more about a two day cherbourg trip, but thats for another date. I hope those that are looking to go, get a good weather window.
  18. Hi mate I radiused the corners of the mould using easy sand body filler, you can get tools with various size round ends to shape the radius, but I used the end of a pallet knife. I am sure you have looked at this but try the mould in place on the boat with the leg fully up (they do go up further than you think) Have fun Charlie
  19. Thanks Neal We will be back in time to just miss the open, but can now try our best to fish the 48hr comp When are you thinking of holding it?
  20. Nice report as usual Steve Looks great
  21. Good idea Alun Gets my vote but as I said I would have to miss the first one To prevent a clash with the bbq would be reason enough IMHO
  22. Not able to fish this year, which is a shame as its one of my favorite comps. Good luck to all that take part Neal it has always been 1st , 2nd and third if my memory serves me right Tight lines all
  23. I saw her going up the harbour on Sat She was turning a few heads at the Yacht Club, even from 1/2 a mile away
