  13. Most of the reef will produce fish, although certain drifts are better than others , as will drifting in amongst the pot bouys off hengistbury head. Make sure you have a decent length of flourocarben though. I would advise joining the club though, as bass are pretty sacred amongst this lot, and i'm sure you will get far more info if you were a member mate. I may see you on the ledge in the summer mate Danny
  14. u could do something with a bucket of that size for a few joeys. id fit a little overflow tube outlet and have a hose inlet bith a cheap rule bilge attached that you could just throw over the side. I know Rich had some pics of a portable baitwell that was posted somewhere here ages ago. 100 times better than attaching just a small aerator.
  15. before we had a baitwell on board, we hung a washing machine drum that we fitted a lid to. We attached it to a meter of rope and just hung it off the back. It works well at anchor, but not ideal for drifting as the pressure kills them if you motor back up the drift to quickly. But to be honest, i could find space to even in a 8ft tender to put a small tank if i wanted to that could hold half a dozen baits, so i would have been sure you there would be some space. A portable tank takes no space at all.

  24. do they do self drive boats in oban? i dont think there woule be enough to warrent nearly 600quid a day for the boat hire
  25. Its my 30th in september, and a family member is treating me to a weeks fishing somewhere. Il prob be looking to book something in the next month or so, for a weeks fishing in late summer and the obvious thing would be to to book a weeks carp fishing in france or spain. But as ive done this already im thinking with the idea of toying with something different. The ideas i have include flying to barcelona heading to the river ebro for catfish, driving to scotland and having a week out of oban for skate, or going to norway to try for cod. Getting info on ebro is easy as i know people who can price it up for me, but i dont know anyone who has fished either scotland or norway. Is the time of year important? is aug-sep a good month or these places? How much is a package? Would it be easier to trail my own boat to Oban or does anyone have experiance of decent charter skippers and costs? Any help for norway and scotland would be most helpful. Thanks Danny
