  1. I've been having a look and will be disconnecting the vro and using premix 50-1. I've found a clip on YouTube explaining how it's done. Seems basic enough. Fingers crossed.
  2. I've had a look on line and it could becan oil problem as it's an internitant alarm instead of a continous buzzer.
  3. It's a Johnson 60hp VRO. I run it up with muffs attached and it's pumping Plenty of water. I'm just confused as to what it may be.
  4. Basically, when i fire up my outboard, I leave it running, and then after a couple of minutes I occasionally get an alarm that comes from my throttle lever control. Does anyone have any idea what this alarm may be?
  5. Just gotta drop my cash off in next day or two so I can re-join the club. I'l see if I can drop cash in to Paul D in next day or two if he's about:-) i have got the bug again!
  6. She is called Just For Fun. She's a Wilson Flyer 17. I didn't quite know how substantial they are.
  7. electronics
  8. This is the boat I am picking up this week as a replacement for the old one. She is called Just For Fun. She comes on a decent trailer that has new wheels, hubs, bearings etc, a well serviced 60 hp engine (although pretty old, but in mint condition), a new 3.5 aux back up, navman vhf, colour plotter and colour FF, built in hob in the front, 2 complete anchor set ups, life jackets, and full working electrics. Not everyone's cup of tea, but she will certainly do me and Dom. Now I'm keen again, I look forward to rejoining the club at the end of the month.
  9. I have something Well I have won a bid on ebay anyway. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love her. I'l post more info when collected. Well my boat was great, but I got let down by the trailer as that was very shoddy and needed replacing, and I couldn't handle a pull start engine anymore. Fine in the summer when its warm, but in the winter, a pull start is horrible, when all you want to do is fire her up and head off. I got decent money for her, but I am really keeping my fingers crossed on the replacement.
  10. I have sold dat dam boat, but will now start to look for a replacement. I'm after something fairly cheap, 2-3k and between 14-18 in length. If anyone knows anything, please let me know. Cheers Dan

    rare bird

for the twitchers amongst you, there has been a rose coloured starling in my mums back garden in hordle for the few days. I'm not really interested myself, but I know they had more than 100 people pretty much sat outside outside her drive on a daily basis!
  12. poor! Fished the carpark amongst the other charter boats. Only a few dogs, pout and a couple of small whiting to show for our efforts! Great conditions and nice to be out..........before I headed in, broke my prop on a rock and buggered the trailer and had to get the trailer and boat loaded onto a flatbed by the AA. Anyway, not out again until may time, so I will spend a few months sorting her out before shifting her on. Defo gonna be willing to take less than I wanted last time because she is cursed
  13. There is that option rob. Would prefer a buddy boat when un-sure of conditions. I may change plan and leave from mudeford and head that way and see how far I can get.
  14. Thats cool steve, I may see you out there. I'm prob launching from mudeford first light. Gonna head over the ledge and see how bumpy it is. If not to bad then we will carry on past the light if not head over the dolphin sands way!
  15. Hi steve, what forcast you working from? I was hoping to fish the carpark tomorrow, but now doubting it! I may fish the banks instead if it's gonna be lumpy!
  16. ok, i have now decided to have a bash. But, I have this hang up about crossing the bridge! I will be heading out from keyhaven and should be passing hurst and then the bridge about 8am ish. will it be ok about that time? If not, il have to launch from mudeford and fish the bay. Cant afford the fuel to launch from mudeford and still fish the light. lol
  17. And still caught sweet FA. Lol. Just pulling your twiglet bro;-)
  18. Hey Rich, good to see you on the forum. Congratulations mate.

If anyone wants to crew fri let me know. Late start as working so not hitching boat up until 10am. Early post but long term forcast is good. Or can crew.
  21. well, i'l be launching from mudeford. Not sure what time though, but im think i'l be in no rush to launch as I like my sleep. Heading to Xray as we have always had great cod sport there. Not sure what the conditions will be out there though. Always a wimp and hate going out when i think it will be lumpy. lol
  22. well i have a day off and it does look tempting. Anyone wanna buddy up for a trip (planning a xchurch launch and stay in bay), or need crew?
