    Monday

Thinking if heading out Monday if I can firm up some crew. Conditions look ok. Thinking of X-ray as always had decent cod sport there in past, and the fact it's only a 10min blast from harbour makes it even better. Anyone else out mon?
  2. cheers guys, thats the dory gone then. Leading the way is probably going to be either an Alaska or something from the seahog range. Commodore or Samuri look nice. Just have to see what funds are available.
  3. Cheers rob. Been looking at a dell quay 17ft with a 7th beam. Offeres lots of deck space and a safe fishing platform and also has an open cuddy that should take most of the breaking water. but open to opinions as need advice. Thoughts on an Alaska?
  4. Decided to actually get something a bit smaller than what I already have and going to save some cash. Looking at either a Alaska 500 or a dell quay dory. Seen both advertised for under 5k. Was thinking of spending a bit more and looking at a warrior 150. That is still an option.
  5. lol, yes he used it in a mullet episode......now thats out, il be lucky to get 2k. haha

  9. Red Bay18, large roller coaster trailer, 40 mariner pull start that is very reliable and gives about 20 knots, navman vhf, garmin FF, garmin gps, anchor chain, warp, lifting bouy, alderney ring, fenders, lock up cuddy, built in rod holders, and twin stainless holders, stainless gunnels, electric and manual bilge pump, rule pump with hose for eaither deckwash or baitwell, built in seats and prob some other stuff ive missed. There is a few dinks/ware and tare scratches in hull and the paint work is a bit rough and could do with touching up, but generally a nice, very seaworthy boat. The pics are taken in the last 7 days. Could also do with a good deck scrub as im lazy PM me if interested. Dan

    Finance options

Hey chaps, I'm starting to think of upgrading my boat to something else, but as savings is an issue, I'm thinking of finance options as monthly repayments would be no issue. Can anyone reccomend any decent lenders? I've eyed up some fab boats, but drawn to something like a bayliner trophy or similar. Dan
  13. Don't worry Dan, i have heard it can happen to anyone!!!! and didn't get round the back
  14. fished the solent today and it was full of weed and the tide hammered through so pulled off early. BUT............Loads of cod landed from the carpark. 2 boats weighed in 19 between them today in the lymington cod comp (one of those boats only had 3 anglers on). shame i couldnt get round the back
  15. between 20-25lb? maybe two of them would weigh that. 12 tops i guess!
  16. Prob look to give it ago. I think it will be very hectic morning as I'm trying to book in and fish two comps at once. Does anyone know if Sowley is any good for cod or would I have to head towards leap(got leap marks already). Failing that I've got the option of heading Poole way for a bash.
  17. looking at windguru, this sunday looks a little lumpy so I will decide against heading to the carpark as i think its a tad risky. I'm kind of thinking of fishing the solent, but having such limited knowledge of it (usually fish from xchurch) i'm unsure how lumpy it will be. Im thinking of heading sowley way or pushing on a bit towards leap. Does anyone think its fishable or do you think it will be kicking up a bit to much. Windguru wasn't giving me much info on swell size etc for the solent. Cheers Dan
  18. Yes Paul, I'm fishing it. I guess you will be heading to Poole now instead. Fingers crossed for some good weather!
  19. you mean drinking beer
  20. yep!
  21. Reports on the ringwood forum of a 15lb fish Need pics to back it up though, but it came from a reliable source
  22. The EA are great!!! They just love over populating the local rivers with tame otters. It is that over populated that have ripped the tidal stour (amongst other sections/rivers) to shreds. Nearly all the proper fresh water fish (barbel/carp/big chub/big roach/bream shoals) have all been eaten. Oh how I love the EA
  23. heard about the crash. Not good
  24. Hope you have more luck than when you targeted those british tarpon tom
  25. Me again......Ive done as says and i think the problem is fixed......but I think I've created another......I can't seem to get enough petrol into the float chamber. It only half fills and the bulb won't go hard. on the one occasion I did manage to get some fuel into the chamber, it never made it to the carb. Only by pouring a bit of fuel into the carb does it start. Argh!!!!!
