  1. How much is the mooring in Tuckton and xchurch? I have a mooring in Muddiford Harbour but when the wind kicks up there it can become dodgy as not everyone fixes there chains properly so im wary of leaving my boat there after what happened last time.. I would love a Tuckton or Xchurch mooring? Anyone got any prices and tel numbers? Ta Dan
  2. another
  3. 14.6 ft boat, large lock up cuddy, plenty of seating space, professionally made decking, very strong hull. May need a lick of paint and perspex windows need attention. Ready for water now!!! Sound trailer, winch rollers etc. Very strong with adjusters for different size crafts. Complete with extras. On ebay now, but will take offers for a cheap boat/trailer ccombo. Dan

    Warp

no point, the ebay charges will add up to more than she sells for.

    Warp

I remember discussing in here about buying rope from ebay. We were discussing different types at different prices. I stand corrected as mine mine was 220m of 12mm blue nylon type rope for about 24 quid plus pp (amazing value). Its very strong!!! Ok it may not be the dogs nuptuals in anchor warp but over rough ground where u may have to cut if you get caught or for back up rigs then it may be worth a look at. Mine is actually set up on my main anchor set up. Just chuck in Blue Rope in the ebay search. P.S. Posted a pic of a boat I picked up a week or so ago with Chris. Im swinging to it being a Wilson Flier, but stand to be corrected. We have only gone and bought another boat today. This time a 15ft orkney style lock up cuddy boat on a decent trailor. Both going on ebay though as 'er in doors is whinging about space on the drive.

    New Boat

Picked up a boat a couple of days ago with Chris (thats a biggun). After a clean up and a new coat she will be a beauty. Shes a 17footer, but the question is, What type is she? I was told a pilot when i bought her, but not sure. She is also on a trailor with a 55hp johnson on the back. Alas she will be sold though as my other boat is ready at last. Pic, complete with Chris posing!!!
  11. Oi coddy!!!!!!!! why u got piccies of my missus?? lol (I remember that pic a few months ago in a letter to the editor page in one of the monthlies)
  12. How many miles was the round trip Kam?
  13. The boat is in partnership with my Bro. He has IBS and stinks. We named it after him.
  14. WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ever since late last year when my beloved boat was sunk in her mooring in muddeford (even before she was even used by me) I have been trying to get her patched up and the engine sorted. The splits and cracks were sorted a while ago but the trouble was the engine. It was covered in salt water and took a long time to sort out after being let down by countless mechanics. Tonight all was in place and 1st flick of the key saw her start straight away. Listening to more than 200HP growling was music to my ears. Im off to majorca on Tuesday but as soon as im back she will be back in her mooring and I will be adding to the catch reports instead of just reading them. She has also been christened Pebble Dash.
  15. Not hauling, but still nice to be afloat.

    Anchors Away

I have heard alot about making the anchor 'trip'. Do you just slowly reverse to trip it? How many cable ties would you use?
  17. Has anyone tried drifting for the bass in the Hurst Run or would this be to dodgy??? Would it be mainly bass down there or is there much else lurking in the depths that might take lures?
  18. Congratulations to everyone who has helped build the site. Dan. P.S. Coddy, is that a pic of that stupid singing frog that you have added? I hope that is a noose around its neck!!!!
  19. Blimey Adam, thats going back a few years. Its all a bit sad really Kam, nameing fish, but by remembering scale patterns etc you can follow them through the years watching them grow, so its easier to name the individual fish. Adam, Ive also has Mavis from there a while back(RIP). This can also be done with sea fish with a tagging programme, I think even a couple of the big skate are named as one angler has had the same tagged fish 3 or four years running in scotland.
  20. A poor pic because I used my digi camera to take a pic of an old photo from my album. The origional is good.
  21. I paid
  22. Nice one Jack. I would of bottled it today. I was at Milford shingle bank at 9.30am this morning watching the waves crash over the 'bridge'. An umbeleavable sight and this is from a couple of miles away.

    Crew

I would always offer half of the costs, and its great for lesser experienced boat anglers like me to be having a go with a boat owner to learn all I can and new skills. It would probabbly be harder for me to arrange crew on my boat anyway, because the cost to run my boat on fuel, it would probabbly be cheaper to book a charter trip. Il go out on the auxillary, lol
  24. Sam, that sounds great. Nothing better than a fat trout, especially a fat brown. There markings are amazing. How much is it to have a bash there normally, or isnt it open to the public? Was it on Pauls fly rod?
