    quay fishing

Sam, talking of bass and trawlers, i was talking to the wife of a trawler boat skipper, she was saying that only a couple of days ago her hubby brought in 1200lb of bass out of poole in one go. I dont know how much they normally get but that seems quite excessive.
  10. or take up course fishing ;-)
  11. PM for you Ray
  12. Ray, for some decent marks nearby, Muddiford is a great place to moor, but be careful in strong winds as the harbour is very open and in fairly heavy storms quite a few boats break off their mooring causing havok. When you are mooring it, there is an area of deeper water about 40 m directly out from the slip and even in high water your boat should still have a couple of feet below it, where as most of the other areas are dried out. This is where my mooring is. Just beware of the floating boats in the wind, mine boat was mangled by one!!! Dannyboy
  13. it is the multiplier, star drag, fully finished in gold colour. thanks jack but they are not the same. i cant find anything on them anywhere.................

    Boat Down

Launched off muddiford today, no probs at all, a few boats in moorings, all looking ok, on arrival back a dayboat with cuddy, prob about 16ft had become completley waterlogged and had sunk, still attached to its mooring. Some poor sod has got an isurance claim to make. For once its somebody elses boat sinking in the quay, not mine!!!! Dannyboy
