  1. I've obviously missed something, which is the individual species comp apart from this one, is there an individual season running comp? I must pay more attention. Terry.
  2. My thoughts are, we already have a boat species competition running throughout the season and this one gives non boat owning members who enjoy this type of fishing a chance to play and compete. Terry.
  3. The years move on relentlessly towards that inevitable day. Happy Birthday Alun. Terry.
  4. Happy cake day, Trev. Terry.
  5. Reminds me of an old girlfriend. 😉 Terry.
  6. Many years ago, one of the charter skippers in Weymouth did just that on the Shambles, this would have been early 70's. Terry.
  7. A bit disappointing there still doesn't appear to be much on the wrecks. Terry.

  11. I would imagine it will just put extra pressure on the hospital. Terry.
  12. Jim and I went out just after 8 and had a rough ride to Dancing Ledge but the day progressed into a really delightful bonus one, glad we stuck with it. Terry.
  13. Was holy mackerel the bait or boat? Terry
  14. Best for me 1lb 9oz. I did have a somewhat bigger female but as she was heavy with eggs,I put her straight back. Jim kept the dogfish away! 😉 Terry.
  15. Easterlies, not the best direction, nowhere to hide. Terry.
  16. Out on Sunday. Terry
  17. Nothing to do with your trip but have you seen the news that the only doctor's surgery on Alderney is closing? Losing money and staff overworked apparently. Terry.
  18. One thing in it's favour Jim, in the present climate, it's probably increasing in value rather than depreciating and there's not many things you can say that about. Terry.
  19. In my engineering days, we used to grind the shaft to reduce the diameter and then metalise or spray weld additional material onto shafts and then grind to size. Any decent engine engineering company should be able to do this for you. I don't think times have changed too much. A for example https://www.saunders-motorworks.co.uk/engine-services.html Terry.
  20. And heavy duty hatch. Terry.
  21. I used Wick for years and always found it most hospitable with plenty of parking and quite enjoyed the ride down the river to the entrance. It has the added advantage of giving your engine a flush in fresh water. Watch the channel and yes, the entrance can be challenging but, during the summer, it is normally well and reliably marked. Alun is obviously the meister on the entrance and yes, he uses Mudeford slip which is only a few yards from the entrance. Terry.
  22. EU regs, they should not be used here, obviously! A remoaner designed the poster. Terry.
  23. Nothing the matter with 40, I'd do it again Terry.
  24. I wonder if one could crowd fund for a 'contract' on Putin? Would there be any takers/givers? Terry.
