20cm is not a bad sized bass live bait, it just cuts down the number one can keep. I wonder if we're allowed to keep them in the tank until they recover from the trauma of being caught?
Terry.
Have you become a kept man at last Tony? It's an honourable state.
I may be out on Monday seeing how far I can get without the engine cutting out. Yellow penguin have done their stuff so now I just need a sea trial. If you see me with my thumb out, give us a tow!

Missed that one, I would have thought it would have been more popular. Mind you, the anglers who go for the boat contest will obviously have more chance(s) of winning, perhaps that's the reason.
Terry.
I've obviously missed something, which is the individual species comp apart from this one, is there an individual season running comp? I must pay more attention.
Terry.
My thoughts are, we already have a boat species competition running throughout the season and this one gives non boat owning members who enjoy this type of fishing a chance to play and compete.

Jim and I went out just after 8 and had a rough ride to Dancing Ledge but the day progressed into a really delightful bonus one, glad we stuck with it.
Terry.
Best for me 1lb 9oz. I did have a somewhat bigger female but as she was heavy with eggs,I put her straight back. Jim kept the dogfish away! 😉
Terry.
Nothing to do with your trip but have you seen the news that the only doctor's surgery on Alderney is closing? Losing money and staff overworked apparently.
Terry.
One thing in it's favour Jim, in the present climate, it's probably increasing in value rather than depreciating and there's not many things you can say that about.
Terry.
In my engineering days, we used to grind the shaft to reduce the diameter and then metalise or spray weld additional material onto shafts and then grind to size. Any decent engine engineering company should be able to do this for you. I don't think times have changed too much.
A for example https://www.saunders-motorworks.co.uk/engine-services.html
