  3. What a result! No such luck for us on Saturday, despite Alun J getting me up at 5.00am for a night launch at Wick. As we set off down river I was optimistically checking my digital camera in readiness for that Bass of a lifetime picture, confident that with Alun's expert knowledge and my new secret weapon we couldn
  4. Regarding the recent suggestions on the forum that people don't enter competitions because they don't think they have a chance of winning, the same comments are being made here in Spain at my Father in Law's fishing club. One of the things they have proposed is pairing up newby's with the experts who regularly win competitions to see if that helps impart some knowledge and experience. I guess it also gets members who normally wouldn't, talking to each other. Sounds a good idea but don't know what others think? Gordon H
  5. Sorry Guy's but I won't be back in the UK until late afternoon on Sunday, but if it's postponed again to next week then I will be joining in the fun. Gordon H
  6. Charlie, I could make very good use of it but I'm in Spain at the moment. Back on Sunday night if it's still available then. Gordon H
  7. Congratulations on your retirement Alun, I'm in Spain at the moment, but when I return I have a meeting with the HR Director to see what my future is. Could be joining you soon! Gordon H
  8. Team Fugazi blanked on Bass! Got some nice action shots of the boat though to add to my album. Gordon H

  10. Gordon H and Chris the Crew will be fishing the competition on Fugazi. Gordon H
  11. Alun, It's not easy, especially if you are trying to reduce 6meg pictures. Open the picture in Microsoft Photo Editor, click on image, then resize and keep resizing down until you get down to <128k. Gordon H

  15. If I go on any more trail a way's with weather like last Sunday's, I think, to quote a well know line from Jaws, "were gonna need a bigger boat". Anyway I did manage to take a few photos before the weather deteriorated, but had to put the camera away because it didn
  16. Hi Gordon, Just to confirm I'll see you tomorrow morning around 05:50am. Gordon H
  17. I don't do early starts, except when my wife is getting up at 5.00am on Sunday morning to meet a taxi to Heathrow (off to sunny Florida on business). So just this once I'm unexpectedly available to crew, or take Fugazi for its first trip out since January. As I also have a 4 x 4 perhaps we can sort something out tomorrow night. Gordon H
  18. I'd love to go but I dont do early starts! Hope the weather is kind. Gordon H
  19. Alun, I'm "fingers crossed" at the moment you know how I love a bit of competition! Do you want to take your boat or mine? I can't confirm until Wednesday evening. Gordon H
  20. Hi Paul, If my doctor can sort out an anti-biotic that works tomorrow when he gets my swab results back I'm hoping to fish the competion, subject to an infected wound healing in time. If not all the best to everyone who is taking part. Gordon H
  21. Cheers Tom it sounds great fun and having just looked at the Avon range the Rover R3.1 Lite looks very interesting. It appears to be a 10ft mini RIB with folding transom that allows it to flat pack into a valise for carriage and can be carried by two people. Gordon
  22. Tom you
