  8. I was out at the Shingles today with PaulD and the guy that has bought "Just Purfick"....showing him the route home to Eastbourne and there was NO WATER ON THE SHINGLES ! SCAREY..... The swell on the ebb at the bridge was something not to miss Told him to keep close to the shore Tomo
  9. So did I, and phoned him and he said he was a freelance guy and wasn't working on this project yet and that was the last I heard. Iv'e now sold the boat so, dosn't matter ,as I will be now be Yamaha supporter... Tomo
  10. Cheers Charlie, Wher's the Brittle Stars ? As for the Turbo...from what I saw all you have to do is sit in the wheelhouse drink tea, eat grub, have a snooze....then wind in and hey presto...it gives its self up..... Tomo
  11. Thanks for that Nige, I will take you up on the offer...... Regarding the tender, I thought it was a bit exspensive to tow to Alderney Tomo
  12. Alas I have got to bow out as have sold boat.. ....so no need to get the addtional Stella Artois imported for Tubby!!!! Tomo
  13. Nige, If you go with Rob...as I have before...it will be fishing...but where the majority on the boat wants to fish...which is fine if it falls within wih your ideal plan. You can also have a greater weather window with Rob....But.. as Charlie says...The joy of doing what you want, when you want takes some beating....I know as I've done both! PS. The social drinking at night is just the same...whichever method you chose Tomo

  15. According to Charlie I am a Veteran of many trips - but I certainly got a sense of adventure gong through the swinge in a 21ft boat Nothing wrong with that, it is all about the right speed for the conditions with is inversly proportionate to the sanity of the skipper - say no more!!! (who said he could have 600hp on the next one!!!) Rob, I resemble that remark! or is it resent? Tomo

    next week

There are some big pike in and around Clay Pool......but not many...dead baits normally produce double figure Bass. ....no live baiting allowed.....but "nearly dead"( as the Irish say on the Shannon) baits are fine.. Tuckton Bridge is your boundry unless you are a Ringwood member....I have picked up huge fish on my sounder but I suspect they are Salmon / Sea Trout... Small dead baits can account for some huge perch 4 lb + but its a waiting game! Tomo
  20. Dave, There will always be room for crew....... Tomo
  21. Nige, The ledge has been my home grounds for over 40 years!!!! so I dont intend to leave it to you motley lot No doubt I may venture a liitle further, but I do the Ripps and Alderney in Just Purfick ..... Tomo
  22. MORE!!!! But the Swinge will be awsome at 30knts!!! Tubby's soooo looking forward to it...(not) Tomo
