  1. All the channel islands (with the exception of 2/3 of Gurnsey) are east of Portland bill. They are all within the club water.

Can't quite make out the new engine but I'm sure it's a wonderful outboard. Just wait till you get it out on water, bonus is there ain't even a run in period

You must select your band speed first, broadband or narrowband(dialup), then select the area, each slip should opens in another window, if it doesn't, that means your computer is set on NOT allow a window to open from another one.

The slip in Weymouth is eccellent, it's not too steep and only a short ride out of Weymouth, the only problem I can see is parking. You can store the trailer next to the slip, but the nearest car park for long term is about 10 mins away. Also the pontoon next to the slipway is for the chartered boat only (apparently), if you use it and a boat comes in expect some sticks.

As Adam has said Lymington is great for launching at all state of the tide, but I think there is a slight drop from concrete to gravel, nothing major only a couple of inches. It is also great from one man launch at top and bottom qtr of tide (if that's the right term) at high water use the wall on the lefthand side, launch and tie or tie and retrieve it using the wall. At low water, use the pontoon, I drop off at the pontoon, get my car and trailer, get and walk the boat over to the slip, it's only about 2-3' of water slip side of the pontoon.
  19. Great Rich, can't wait.

At least he'd tied up the boat to the post, otherwise he could have lost it ...........

    Boat!

Congratualation on your new boat, the family is a lovely boat, handles the coastal water without problems, a bonus is that it's a unsinkable hull, extra safty measurefor the family.

The steps are in front of the hotel. Lots of crab pots/cages, you can't miss it.
  23. I meant fine sand like those Martin mentioned. I use a kitchen sieve to spread the sand over the floor. They are no courser than your standard black non slip surface.
  24. When I had my Shetland, I used garage floor paint (cheap) then sprinkle sand over (semi) wet paint for drip. Mobile mechanic, that depends on where you are, I'm sure each one here can recommend at least one, but does he cover your area? Look at the links/sponser page, there are some local companies who do prices as keen as some net based companies, not to mention sometimes it's good to use club sponsers....... Wiring Sea screws: all sort on or off decks, metal or plastic Washing, cleaning and detailing

It costs nothing to pick up or drop off passengers, but I'd be very careful the steps are slippery, plus I think the comm fisherman/crabbers have priority when using the quay.
