  1. I've got a Suzuki DF70 on my Warrior, it's brilliant. I was going to have an ETEC, but when I ordered my boat from Warrior, they wouldn't fit an ETEC. I'd have had to buy the boat less engine and then get an ETEC fitted. As I wanted a complete package, so if there were any problems there would be no arguing who was to blame. As it happens I'm pleased that was the case, as I can't fault the Suzuki, so quiet I often forget to stop he engine and very economical.

Hi Elliot, in the top right hand corner you'll see a green button marked "Creat Account". Complete that and then Martin will upgrade your access to Club Member.

    Salt removal

Bought 4 bottles of white vinegar at Tesco, 589ml for 039p. When I mixed it worked out to about 16%. Ran my 5hp Suzuki for 10 mins, then flushed out with clean water for 10 mins. The decided to run the old Seagull 40 plus for 10 mins, amazed at the amount of muck that came out of the Seagull.

    Salt removal

My main engine is flushed after every trip, but the aux doesn't get flushed very often (doesn't get used very often either). That's why I thought I'd give it a good clean out.

Thanks Sam, I had something in the back of my mind about white vinegar, but wasn't sure.

    Salt removal

I want to run my aux in a small dustbin to remove any salt that might have built up in the water passages. What should I add to the water?
  14. Sorry Barry, already promised.

    SAE 140 oil

Anyone know where I can get some SAE 140 oil locally. I can get it online, but postage bumps the price a bit. Only need about half a pint, it's for a Seagull 40 plus gearbox.

  23. I'm giving it to a friend.
  24. It's 10:1 I'm about to give it away, that's why I dug it out. They say petrol goes off!!!! I probably ought to check the gearbox oil.
  25. Just dug out my old Seagull 40 plus, it's been standing since 2004 (eleven years), still had half a tank of fuel in it. Started 2nd pull. Think I might treat it to fresh fuel and a new spark plug.
