    Rivet Gun

Paul I am glad you sorted that, Martin beat me to the offer of the tool But you should use the correct Monel rivets to prevent it happening again. I have thousands of Stainless self tappers if you wish to change design Charlie
  2. Too Brave for me I want to fish on the new boat not be buried under it Charlie
  3. Congers to 35lb, 8lb Bass Two Cod and Thornbacks whats all the fuss about Paul had a few dogs you know Nice one Westray, a red letter day early in the winter season I am sure Paul will be looking forward to returning the call at the earliest fishy oportunity Charlie
  4. I had a simular problem with the current record fish and here is the photo of it I believe that Dave's may be a small TUB But out of interest to eveyone, I received a note from a Member reporting a Red of 1lb 12 oz, I will try and check with the Member concerned ref the RED?TUB question as its a hard one before confirmation that I now hold 1 less Club record. I hope I do as I like to see them broken and the sizes grow I thought a few more may go by now, while my crew and I are resting Charlie
  5. Glad a few more boats and Members were out enjoying the weather 9 boats this time at least I await the score sheets Only one so far so its 108 to beat Cheers Charlie
  6. Thanks for the message Gaffa I too have fished on some of those earlier offshore 105's and the vibration and noise was very bad prior to them changing to 4 bladed props. I have fished on Gary's "Prodigy" with her stern drive and she is a lovely quiet boat even when the power is on, so I hope that we can get ours the same. Actually the demonstartor at Wadebridge was not too bad and they had not fitted any sound deadening at all. All these messages are very helpful for Sam thanks Charlie
  7. What a good mate you are Terry Sorry to hear that you will not be there Tom, have a great holiday I hope others are not booking holidays to escape the pressures of the Open. Lets all pray together for fine weather, a good turn out and good fishing Charlie
  8. Hi Guys and Girls I have just seen the forecast for Sunday and it looks fine to fish the final round of the species competitions. The top few spaces could still change so tight lines to all going afloat. Please pre book one this thread, on my phone/answer machine or email prior to fishing. It may be a good chance to practice prior to the open comp. best of luck and let me know how you get on Charlie
  9. Well done Paul that will certainly give the anglers something to think about on the day Nice trophy and prizes for a returned fish, it really must be the way to go on the fish conservation front. Charlie
  10. Bob and Family Our Thoughts and good wishes are with you at this sad time. There will be time when small things make Dads passing very painfull and others when the good memories more than compansate for that hurt. When my mother passed on I found the comments of the kids in their innocence a great comfort. I hope that you also find somthing of comfort to soften the blow. Very best wishes to you all Charlie Wendy Sam and Dan
  11. Thanks Guys Sam really appreciates the input Tom you must have had a closer look at the new boat than I thought, where possible we seem to have already used a lot of the ideas on your list. Others simply do not fit with the style of hull offshore use, you need a deeper V forward Thanks again Charlie
  12. Gars in November are you sure RicH? lets just hope we get the weather to really get a good day afloat and give the skippers some options Bob I am sure you are right about the flatty mate Tight lines Charlie
  13. Glad I decided to side step this comp by the sound of the posts a certain webmaster would be blamed for delayed work on the new vessel Good luck to all that are in it Charlie

  16. Ok Fred I will ask What will Cyclone be used for commercailly? If the owner has a large trawler I can not see her used just for pleasure angling Charlie

Welcome to the Club Terry Its a long way from home but I am sure you will be made very welcome when you travel over to Poole. Hopefully we will see you and friends at some of our larger competitions in the future. and I am sure our trailor boats will be keen to try new areas well to the east. Charlie
  18. I have sent this off today It is not intended to be from the Club I mention our Club to add weight to the email I like Dave ask you all to find time to support this campaign, by adding your opinions and sending them to defra Charlie I am writing to express my grave concerns about the diminishing numbers of Tope being caught in my local area [Poole Dorset] This letter expresses my opinions, I fish with my wife and two sons for tope during the summer season on my own boat. I am the Fish recorder for the Poole Bay Small Boat Angling Club, so this email also reflects the catches and opinions of many other anglers in the area. Our Club has over 150 Members many of whom own and run their own angling boats from small fast trailered boats to 33 ft boats capable of crossing the English Channel. As a combined number we spend a vast amount of money with various boat builders, engine manufacturers and fishing tackle companies nationally and also a substantial amount locally with various Car parking, Slipways, Marina
  19. Sorry Lofty No Offence meant She looks hell of a boat in the BFM Charlie
  20. A Challange Duncan?
  21. Isn't Mick Hucknell also from Manchester? Then again I believe he is also a Mna U fan Cn't win them all mate, better get the brush going, "True Blue " then is it??? Charlie
  22. Kam I expect you and Pat together on his boat just made it look even larger Charlie
  23. according to my paperwork Sunday 12th Nov is a neap tide 0845 LW about 1.2m above CD 1130 1st HW about 1.6m above CD 1730 2nd HW about 1.7m above CD These tides were chosen to give those launching ample oportunity to do so without hassle and around the registration and weigh in times. They also give us a bit more chance to fish offshore if the weather is breezy on a flooding tide without a big tide stirring it up. Lets all cross our fingers for fair weather a good turn out and some good fishing. Tight lines Charlie
  24. Sorry no snap the Forum does not seem to accept my ones anymore ???? Am I doing something wrong again Charlie
  25. Rich the board on the back of GW had raised edges to the front and sides to stop the blood coming inboard the fwd one also had some scallops cut out at the top and egdes rounded off to act as rod rests that proved very usefull to hold the rod while baiting up the aft end was left flat and pertruded aft of the D fender so blood and scraps missed the boat on their way overboard I also fitted a bit of timber on the top with a slot to hold the knives To prevent the whole thing soaking up blood it was varnished with several coats. only the cutting part needed revarnishing every year and It was onboard for years you may see the details in this snap charlie
