  2. Great return for your efforts, Super sport Shame that getting the videos done at the hectic times gets missed, we have done the same on Holiday.
  3. Well done Rob Sounds like a great trip, aws it just the one day? Great pictures too Charlie
  4. Thanks Greg Do you think heavier tackle could have stopped it?
  5. Ah the one that got away, LOL Bloody thing is getting away a lot must beef up the kit and give it a go, what do you think Rob?
  6. good luck Fred hope you get a couple, you have certainly put some preparations in
  7. Has the three month trip been shortened Fred? Typo or the presence on Nigel and his chums? good read mate Mr Chapman
  8. I bet that was exciting Fred seeing all the fins approaching on the surface Untill you could see they were dolphins that is Any luck on the lure caught sharks yet?
  9. Not sure there is Neil. You may have to settle for 3 out of 4 from your list in which case I would go for the Avet MX LH with brakes, its narrow spool makes line control easier. Or think out of the box and go for a tough large fixed spool I use Fin Nor Offshore and Cobot large spinning reels on Holiday, They have casting ability Line lay LH or RH handle positions and a drag that is far more powerful than any of my multipliers, If they can tame tropical fish there isn't much in the UK that could bother them.
  10. The7000 I mentioned earlier does have a level wind but shore or boat I have never found it to be a problem as we are not tournement casting. I thought you were after a combination although I still use the 7000,s my preferred option are my Avet SX or MX LH lever drags a little limited but Avets fit the bill. mine arenot good casting reels but they do come with brakes for that purpose
  11. Thanks Rob I must say I had the same thoughts as Ian when I got up this morning
  12. Happy Birthday Paul have a great day
  13. Happy Birthday have a great evening
  14. The one I use most for both of those is one of my ABU 7000,s has brake blocks so can cast even big weights uptide very capable medium size downtider too. at anchor or drifting as an all rounder has a proved pedigree
  15. Must agree Steve I have just called Ian and Neil to cancel. have to just look forward to next time.
  16. Hi Neil Ian and Alan are joining me weather permitting. We would have room for another, but I am keeping an eye on the forecast to see if we can do what I intended to do. If you can let me have your number I will call you after I check the weather and talk to Ian this evening. Not sure if I fancy another Ray trip, but some fishing is better than no fishing.
  17. Hi all Looking at the neap tides and forecast for Sat I am tempted to push out a few miles and have a look at getting some Tope and Eels, with maybe a try at the bigger bream that stay late on the wrecks. No crew at the moment so if anyone fancy's it get in touch
  18. Perhaps they could use their time and effort to try and update the specimen sizes around the Coast

  23. Happy 70th Allan Have a great day matey
  24. Thanks again Rob All to play for then
  25. Thanks Rob So for Clarity it is 1st 2nd and 3rd over the three comps for the best specimen. Out of the three rounds, the best competition score is to count for the species scores. Not the points from each round added up
