    Boat Show

Glad it got sorted out for you. How true is that about the "Extras" I know one ex member that added 50% to his new boats cost by adding all of the whistles and bells he could think of.

    Boat Show

Have they done that to all of the boats at the show , and now lost all of their sales? What a cock up and total waste of time and money
  3. I have not gone to the extent of vacuum packing but as Rob I put 4 or 5 fish in a zip top bag and exclude as much air as possible. I have found that bringing the fish ashore on ice helps to keep them in very good condition for eating or bait. I put them into the freezer spread out amongst the draws and packed either side with already frozen fish or ice packs.
  4. Good morning all I am very sorry to pass on a message just received from Steve Porter regarding a well known and much respected Weymouth charter skipper and friend to many of us that have fished with him over the years. Chris Caines passed on at 6am this morning as the result of a heart attack. A great loss to our sport. I am sure that many Members will join me in sending love and condolences to Chris's family and close friends.

    Boat Show

Nice Not that many people actually come away after ordering a new boat. Well done.
  6. Just because he caught the bass, no need to try and salt him down.
  7. Fished out, who are you kidding. Not many keener than you Chris Well done
  8. Apologies, we are not available this weekend. Tight lines
  9. Well done Sam I know how much effort you have put in over the past two summers to get more juniors involved. Super day yesterday and great prize-giving BBQ The Club has 24 listed, to get 21 taking part is great. Well done all of the juniors that joined in, the Club for fully backing this and of course all of the adult Members that sponsored the event, took the kids out on their boats or came along to the prize giving. A lot of really good fish were caught this year, after such success no doubt the juniors will be keen to take part again in 2016.Some may get too old to take part, but there were a few younger ones around yesterday that may fill the gaps. lastly thanks to the Ladies that let their children join in and got involved ashore.
  10. Sounds great Looks like I need to pull an all nighter again Not done that for a while
  11. Happy birthday Dave hope that you are having a good one
  12. Brilliant Rob Well done lads well jealous
  13. Glad you are back safe Tony. Good luck with the repairs
  14. It used to be one of our race marks called sadler because they sponsored it. I can not think what it is called now Its on charts and plotters
  15. This weekends tides are big, so as Oli says drifting for Bass is a good option. If you would rather anchor, stay on the banks and contours to the east of the end of hook sands. Plenty of rays about at the moment, flowing trace and mackerel or squid bait. Good luck Charlie
  16. Can not do tomorrow , fingers crossed we will be trying on Sunday Thinking of taking Wendy out on Monday if anyone is going on a social trip let us know
  17. Happy Birthday Steve Have a Great Day
  18. They may make it into a conservation or Nursery area, but without letting us know what restrictions that brings [if any] and enforcement its just hot air. These rays seem to be well spread through our area, which is great news.
  19. They do it for fun, even in this weather
  20. Well done on getting such good fish in the first place Steve, a picture and putting them back is far better than harming them In my opinion. As you say getting true weight on a boat is hard enough, dropping your anchor and paddling to shore just to weigh one is a bit too extreme. The pictures and reports are well worth sharing, thanks for them they brighten up a dull day.
  21. great report Steve would love to see a video of the landing LOL that is a great Ray, shame you could not weigh it
  22. Sorry to hear that Tony she never seems to like to leave Weymouth.
  23. Some fight whatever you get them on
  24. We sometimes wonder mate
  25. Good substitute Ian Great company and a good angler. Do not be sidetracked by his power naps. When he wakes up he often gets the big fish.
