  1. Weather very changeable, bugger that makes deciding hard.
  2. Thanks Mal Wendy and I were out yesterday and there was a lot of big swells about. We had a few female bream tucked in close and a few plaice. But the swells changed out plans and weed in the swash was a pain when flatty fishing
  3. Does anyone here use barbless hooks, bream fishing? and what are your thoughts regarding other hooks? J pattern or small circles?
  4. Done A few of the questions at the end about identification of breeding males and females, made me think. and I realise that I know less about this than I thought I did.
  5. Nice evenings fishing
  6. Its conger time, for Wendy.
  7. Sounds like a great trip to me Greg. Making the must of the nice weather is always a good idea.
  8. Madness - Jim - Phil - Martin Y-Knot - Mal and tbc Fisheagle - Allan Marlin - Greg and Crew TBC Canaletto - Dale, Russ and Andy Alfresco, Crew TBC

  10. Thanks Mick.
  11. I will put them in my spares Mick, if that's ok
  12. It may be worth contacting Traditional Shipwrights in Poole. It looks like the sort of Yacht that they may have looked after in the past. Paul is on 07723 319346 Good luck Charlie
  13. Wendys first fish this year. Nice day in the bay.
  14. No problem Colin, I think I had the last one in the shop, when asked what it was all I got was, "a boat landing net mate" May be worth giving them a call, to see if they are getting more in.
  15. Thanks all I was in Bournemouth with wendy earlier. So popped over to Christchurch angling. They had one simular to my broken one. So I picked one up. Just need to launch the boat on Monday and try it out.
  16. Looks the same as Stainless Steve's, Lovely and strong to damn heavy
  17. Nice one Well dine skipper
  18. Well done Mal Keep all the doggies well fed up your end of the bay.
  19. Thanks Jerry That what I had and am trying to replace, but am struggling to identify and source. I did think about getting the Aluminium hoop and net from Stainless Steve and using the handle off of the broken net. but of course the diameters are wrong.
  20. Have you a make / model of what you use instead of the rubber one Mal?
  21. Hi all I need to replace a lost landing net, with a large and robust one that could handle tope and rays. Large size with a long handle would be ideal. I am shying away from the gel nets as I am not sure of their durability with spiny or toothy fish. I have considered getting one from Stainless Steve , but am concerned about the weight when used single handed on solo trips. What nets do other Members use? and where did you get them from? Thanks Charlie
  22. Sounds like a great return trip. Lucky for the fish that you did not have two rods onboard. I did wonder last night why you were out , on a day when the breeze was fresh in the boatyard.
