Blue fin Tuna fishery consultation.
great white replied to Mal Thomas's topic in Conservation Issues
Done. I did state that I think their numbers of recreational boats that may apply for permits seemed very low at only 40 for England. Probably depends on the cost of permits, and suitable tackle and equipment. -
Well done Will And you Jerry for getting him out in this weather. I wonder if his dad knows how much that could cost him if he gets addicted like the rest of us.

Thanks Mal I will find to do that very soon. -
Any thought of extending this into August Jerry?

Agree with others pretty bad hitting a well known hazard. But even worse not using the liferafts

Thanks Jerry I can only do Saturday , so will have fingers crossed for a weather window. Ben Allen and I are thinking that we may need an early start on Saturday, to use the tides to our advantage. I will have room for one or two more if anyone would like to join us, please contact me in the usual ways or post on this thread. Charlie

My navlights and cabin lights were changed by just buying the led version of the lamps ( bulbs) Happy with those Hoi did the same formy deck lights. But they were not that bright so i changed the two units for very bright led ones. Mick. I would hope that it was an easy job for you. After all, your website name is sparky. Lol

Thats great They were drifting next to us but certainly found more fish

As others are saying You need to put a lot more rope out when the weather is choppy than at other times. That usually but not always works. Some times you have to change spot to one that is hard and rough and will hold the anchor better.

Well done all, Wendy really enjoyed meeting up with old friends again. Sorry I was not there , but we had a good excuse, we were fishing.

I have a Go pro and a couple of cheap copies for on the boat Sound has always been an issue so any advice on that would be welcome. I sometimes just add a bit of text. But Greg's was better with talking to the camera. I did see some advice that said to record the sound/commentary on a phone using your hands as a clapper board. then align the video from the camera and the audio from the phone using the editing software. I am yet to give that a go. Has Brad tried that Greg?

I have been asked by a Member at work to see if anyone in the Club is interested in buying his boat which is currently in his berth at Parkstone Yacht Club. I hope that this is OK with the Club Committee and Website Admin It is being advertised by Peter Keats Boat Sales, but do not go through them please contact the owner Mr Malcom Bell on 01929 555079 or 07443 657477, as stated above it is on the water ready to test drive. It is a 2021 boat with the same year Mercury 60HP outboard, that has had minimal use. The top speed is quoted as 30 knots. The Smartliner Cuddy 19 is the perfect boat for relaxing days afloat with the family, or for some serious fishing. The huge cockpit is deep enough to provide a sense of security and the cuddy is the perfect place for refuge from a burning sun or the less likely chance of rain. Indeed, "White Magic" has a brilliant canvas enclosure that enables the helm and passenger to navigate the craft in comfort and away from the elements. Powered by an efficient Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, "White Magic" is just as comfortable trolling for fish as she is at eating the miles on the plane. The inventory includes a Simrad touchscreen chart plotter, rod holders, cockpit and cuddy cushions & portapotti. Asking price £19,500 but direct contact with Malcolm will make that negotiable.

Nice fishing Dale well done Better tides for deeper water this coming weekend, but you may still need a bit more warp.
