  3. when the weather is crap and you are still desperate to fish, then try the river! These two (amongst about 50 course fish, including Roach, bream, Perch, Dace and 3 chub) were caught whilst ties up just out of Wick Slip! Not everyones cup of tea i know, but it proves that no matter the weather, you can still wet a line All on floatfished maggots. Roach

  5. just like this! The big bream i had being weighed. By holding the scales still and making sure the scales are zero'd after the net/bag/sling is added it is fairly easy to get an accurate weight despite snotty seas! I only thought i'd take the pic at the time as i thought it was a record and wanted proof! equil record though

  7. I have a lovely tiny bait casting reel somewhere! Only used plugging for pike fishing and once on the boat and is in ok condition. I will look to see what make it is, but its decent and cost me 70squid and will swap it for another reel that i can use for down tiding. I will dig it out if i can find it and post a pic. although i think that the fish should be weighed, i think most experianced fishermen can guess close. I would be fairly hopeless at guessing the weights of sea fish, but i think i would be within 8oz of guessing the weight of a 20lb carp. Its also diffucult to judge the weight of a fish from a pic. Some hold fish out far, other close in, size of hands, camera angles etc Although, i think i would of guessed Petes undulate spot on as i remeber the pic when it was posted 1st time around,
