Assuming this refers to the Royal Navy's little faux pas in Bahrain. For one of the ships involved it was the second reversing collision, both in Bahrain. They need more mirrors! Makes me think of Lesley Phillips - Left hand down a bit! Shame it's not called HMS Troutbridge. Terry.

Whatever you choose, if you can get hold of a pair of silk glove liners, they drastically change the game. I used to have RAF ones dating back to the days when they were flying unheated aircraft like Lancasters, absolutely brilliant. Personally, I like something like Buffalo Mittens which I always used in the mountains, water resistant rather than waterproof and I take them off to do anything technical. My other choice is waterproof Sealskinz, don't panic, not real seal skin! Not cheap but very good and they have 'sticky' fingers. Hope this helps. Terry.

It mentions 'sustainable fishery'several times which would be a given in that for recreational anglers, it will be all catch and release. Presumably, there is going to be a fairly substantial commercial fishery given that they will probably require specialist boats and gear. Farewell, tuna? Terry.

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes, it's a great pleasure to me that you have taken the time to mark the day. As far as being spoilt is concerned, it didn't happen. We were due at my daughter's for lunch and afternoon shenanigans but got the call around 11.00 that a house guest had got the lurgy so, just Dilys and me for a hastily organised lunch. Thank goodness for Morrisons oven roasted chickens. I am hoping to get one more day on the water before I start my hibernation until the spring warmth re-awakens me. So, watching the weather, what's new? Terry.

Don't for God's sake let him loose on the real thing! Terry.

Don't get polypropylene, this is hard, prickly and unyielding, also it floats, not good for other boat users if you lose your anchor. The nylon is fine and I do retrieve my own! 😉 Three strand is also easier to splice when making up your various connections on your setup. Terry.
