  2. A very Happy Cake Day Chris. Terry.
  3. This will be the last time I say, Happy Birthday Mr. Chairman. Terry.
  4. I have frequently experienced this, they seem to go into hibernation mode during the winter. Sometimes an email will bring a response but no guarantees. Who have you tried? Terry.
  5. Oh! Thank you Brian. Not a good thing then. Terry.
  6. At the risk of sounding stupid, what is reservoir fluid that contains oil? Terry.

Me too, although I have retired from doing my own work as it has got to the stage where I lift the bonnet and don't recognise anything under it. Additionally, I don't have a computer to connect to it which seems to be an essential today. Terry.

How do they judge 'mechanically proficient? Clarification needed. Servicing is the most difficult the first time you attempt it, thereafter, like servicing your cars, it gets much easier. There are plenty of YouTube videos to guide you through the process, go for it! Terry.

And no reason why you shouldn't do your own outboard but NOT when it is still in warranty as this would almost certainly void it. Who did your first 20 hour service? Terry.
  10. Without any racism whatsoever, check the restaurants specials boards! Terry.
  11. I'm surprised certain folks didn't hack off the fins. Terry.
  12. From my research last autumn, it is designed to keep fuel stable rather than treat that which is already suspect. You don't need much in there so I would suggest using it as a matter of course. However, having said that, I recently used some 2 year old fuel in my rotovator and it started first pull so I'd be tempted to just go for it. Terry.
  13. A Very Happy Greg Day, it's all yours for the duration. Get some in! Terry.
  14. I thought I recognised it, I think somebody caught it last month. Terry.
  15. That makes the day very special, I'm so pleased for you. Terry.
  16. A very Happy Cake Day young Brian. Terry.
  17. So, you sort of came joint first. 😉 Nice day out though. Terry.
  18. Not that I've tried this year but 50/50 banks seem to be producing. Terry.
  19. I would say take both, I was in the position two years ago when I couldn't even get a bite with squid on a mark where I knew there were fish. Alun told me to swop to mackerel and thereafter it was non stop action. And yes, on the bottom. Terry.
  20. Set of largish feathers baited with mackerel chunks. Terry.
  21. Min-y-mor goes under and is available at reasonable rates. Terry.
  22. Thanks for that Martin but I am trying to avoid paint. The wrap solution should be permant'ish provided I'm careful not to attack is with anything abrasive or corrosive (like oxalic acid), all it needs is cleaning with soapy water. Terry.
  23. As I was saying......! Roberto Rodas has (at last) finished the damage to my hull caused by Cobb's and, while he was putting the finishing touches, I asked him to have a look at the pillars of my windscreen. His advice was that they are actually plastic, that the damage is sun based and that the fix is to obtain new ones and he can fit them, circa £1000.00! Going back to my original question, I noticed a thread on the Jeanneau facebook forum about a guy who had the pillars etc wrapped on his boat by a firm in Southampton who specialised in boats. I thought it would not be a goer with the travelling but gave them a call anyway. Seems he is doing a job for the RNLI on the 16th January (handy) and could do mine at the same time and the price is not prohibitive so hopefully, job done. As I have bought G3 paste, I will just give it a try first but I'm not hopeful. Terry.
  24. Looking forward to it and a very generous offer of the beer for us all. 😊 Terry.
  25. Maybe a bit soft for our kayak hero, perhaps he could sit on the bathing platform with his feet in the water. 😉 Terry.
