Someone is trying to be contentious. She hasn't been anywhere apart with me since she left the Norfolk Broads and her first owner. It's just that when I bought my Warrior, everyone assumed I would do the normal thing and sell the other one. I forgot! There was talk of my son taking her over but, as nothing was done, I decided to sell. And with such a good and loving home for her to go to, I'm not at all sad to see her go. Enjoy with a clear mind, Adam, and don't listen to the stirrers, especially the ones who don't remember her from when I was using her! Terry.

Deep joy! My previous Lowrance chartplotter, which was about 2 years old, ceased to function in as much as it wouldn't completely fire up so I replaced it with my current combined unit. Upon reading the above, I obtained some switch/contact cleaner, sprayed it in the appropriate holes and; bingo! Up and running as before.

I didn't say that. I just have a feeling for these things. It is a nice outfit, though. Terry.

Thanks for the skype wheeze, Dan. I didn't suggest that it was possible to use as an alternative to a chartplotter, however, it's very good for planning/hypothesising when away from home and storing ones private marks on and being able to see them in context. O/k, I admit it, I'm a bit of a gadget tart! Tidal info is quite useful though with a bit of extra information to hand. Terry.

I have recently acquired an iPod Touch and have been busily downloading Apps for it and discovered a great one. It is a Navionic Gold UK App which gives me the charts for the whole of the UK and, randomly, Holland. All the details that you will find on your chartplotter. Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet but what a great toy. I think I'll use it to store all my favourite marks on, then I don't have to access the chartplotter to retrieve one. Terry.
