  1. There will be Jim, I have a cunning plan! Terry.
  2. This is my system, it cost nothing as the piece of wood came out of a skip. Terry.
  3. I saw Serenity on Friday, you will definitely need a VERY big tide! Terry.
  4. Happy cake day young Rob. Terry.
  5. Only at the 'looking' stage at present so not sure of details, mostly it seems to depend on how much one spends, as far as I can see, from about £150 to 'king ridiculous. Terry.
  6. On a different tack, I've been looking at 3D printers. Terry.
  7. Probably left it a bit late to start now Jim. Terry.
  8. Its only logged with a chainsaw but you're welcome to some. Terry.
  9. Was a while ago Stuie. 😉 Terry.
  10. That's me. Terry.
  11. I have yet to identify it exactly Jim. It is some sort of ornamental variety but big. Rather than a large central trunk, it had a low bole at the bottom and large sub trunks going off in various directions and was right next to a fence with the neighbours property with a summer house on their side. It tested my ingenuity and involved a bit of climbing, although not as high as I used to go, I probably wouldn't bounce as well these days. I wouldn't have seen it as a candidate for turning. I took a large ash down here a while ago (this year) if you want a bit of that. Terry.
  12. If only! You should know it comes under the heading of 'It's your job, your a Dad!' Terry.
  13. Thanks for your thoughts lads, I did have a day at least. Number 1 daughter talked me into felling a big old tree in a friends garden which took up most of the day time. She gets all the logs and I get - exercise. Good to know I haven't lost my touch with a chainsaw. As a reward, Amanda cooked us dinner and supplied the wine which was, in some part, adequate recompense. Terry.
  14. What, reel, anchor winch (windlass)? Terry.
  15. Happy Cake Day young Pete, catch up soon. Terry.
  16. Remember, the tuna are coming! Terry.

  18. I am very happy with my Seago ones, I have used the Seago Classic automatic for years and have just added a pair of their Active 190n automatics as I now have a larger boat and increased family crew members. Easy to maintain and recharge and comes with a crotch strap. Terry.
  19. Interesting! I had spotted a lot of sign firms doing it but thought, obviously erroneously, that it would be a specialist job. I shall explore that if the G3 paste doesn't work. Thanks. Terry.
  20. Ta! Terry.
  21. Thanks for the offer Jim, I do have a cabled one myself, one of those things that I thought sometime in the past would be a Good Thing. I think I've used it once! Charlie, I think you are correct when I figure in travelling time and fuel costs. Would that be a fibreglass specialist or a boat valet. I asked Darren at MD to give it a go in the spring when he did the boat but he only managed to get a good shine on the discolouration. Terry.
  22. Thanks for the advice and have you got her number? Terry.
  23. When I'm convinced it's just surface. A plan starting to come together. Terry.
  24. Photo's when I'm next in Poole. Good thought about the T-cut, it does appear to be on the surface rather than ingress of discolouring into the gel coat. Terry.
  25. I did - no effect, very disappointing. Looking at it I thought it was sun damage but it is not all over, just in patches. I'm really scratching my head over this one, it's the only thing that is marring the appearance of the boat. Terry.
