  1. Can't remember yours that well, I think yours had a larger cabin? We've not been to the ledge yet but it'll drink about 45quid going to St albans head then back to the spoil ground & a bit of running about. Oh well. Don't think Bob's too phazed with fuel consumption if we can get there quick
  2. Hi bootlegger, long time. Heard from WW that the boat was having work done. Would be nice to get out when she's done, if only to show you how to fish! Bob's Hardy is quite a rare inboard petrol quite quick, 25knots
  3. No no you're absolutely right on the ginger thing! Myth Busters did it & ginger beat everything, even the proper tablets. I think they had ginger pill type things from a chinese herbalist?

  6. I think I may be onto something here..... I've recently discovered a New cure! Well, cure might be exagerating a bit! Opal Fruits They might not stop you being sick but it'll taste a whole lot better if you do
  7. I broke my 15lb tidecutter the other day. It was in the rest while drifting, got snagged & snapped at the spigot before I could pull it out. It's the top section thats gone. I'd like to give it a go at a repair but whats best. Bloomin shame, it was my fave rod!
  8. Hello all, first post here but I'm sure some may know me from 'sea-angling.org.uk'. I havn't bothered to join you before because of the limited amount of boat fishing I did. 13. hello this is my first post, so i must introduce myself. so, im steve, im 24, and i am a keen sea angler living in bournemouth, hoping to get a boat soon! seen all the catch reports and it looks like a lot more varied than the shore fishing i do. bigger fish to! ive been sea fishing for about a year and a half, went out with a mate one day and was hooked from there really. and i cant think of a more pleasant way to pass the day! work wise im a welder fabricator, soon to go self employed with my own workshop so if you need some welding, light fabrication, sand blasting, wet blasting or metal polishing done soon, let me know! will be open in the new year. tight lines, steve
  14. Maybe my problem is adding another 20knts to your 6, did try bonding with araldite but I lost some strength in signal so went back to the transom mount, thing that bugs me most is it not showing fish arches when you know fine well there are fish around on the drift. Sean
  15. Hi, sorry, didn't make it too clear, she was built and registered in Folkstone. The last my neighbour heard of her was that she was in the Poole area. Cheers for the reply Tony
  16. Hi Just a quick post,a shot in the dark really. Does anybody know of a fishing boat in the Poole area called Lady Hamilton(FE47) I Would like to track her down for my neighbour, who built her, quite a few years ago now. Any info or photos would great,if no ones heard of her, then sorry to have troubled you all. regards Tony
  17. Nice review there Mike, do you have any problems at losing the bottom signal at speed, using plasticine sounds like a damn good idea, would you say the unit is reliable at showing fish? I have the 250c and just don't have any confidence at all in it's fish finding capabilities. Cheers Sean
  18. Thanks Charlie. Ill try that.
  19. Thanks for the tips. Ive checked plugs, tested spark and condition of the leads. The carb suggestion sounds good so I'll have a go at it and also the compression test. Again, Many thanks
  20. I Have a Yamaha 50hp 2stroke Outboard (fairly old) on my 18' boat. It has developed a problem whereby it lacks power. It appears to only be firing on two out of the three cylinders. Occasionally the third cylinder kicks in and there is a sudden surge in power but this only lasts a few seconds. Seems like the third cylinder ist trying to go but cant. Is this an electrical problem? is it something simple or will I have to get an expert in to sort it? Any iadeas?????? Steve Potter
  21. I have an Indespension Roller Coaster 4 and many of the U bolts holding the various sections together are looking very corroded. I am thinking of replacing the lot to avoid a potential dissaster during transit. Can anyone recommend a source of good quality, reasonably priced U bolts. Preferably galvanised or at least with some level of protection. Many thanks Regards Neil Glover

  24. Hi All Just a quick post to let you know about my new website. It's taken a bit of time and several bouts of writers block to get sorted but I'm well happy with how it looks and works. Catch Report pages are right up to date so have a look at what we've been catching and and please let me know what you think of it. The site should be here: http://www.beyondthebluecharters.co.uk Regards Rob 'Shogun'
