It really focused some energy and effort within the club. Good luck with the practice, would freshwater match fishing be at all relevant, for the times that boats / weather don't fall in to line? That's all about presentation, organisation and changing methods until finding what works!!! Best of luck and tight lines. Rob

I gave JV the once over yesterday and I'm well impressed! I have checked the crew seating and I looks good for a snooze on the way out to the wrecks so I'm happy!

Thanks all! It was good to be home early so u could open presents with the kids, then we went to Bournemouth for dinner. Not sure I've caught mackerel in December before, first time for everything!

So, early start, set off at sunrise. Planned to anchor and fish maccy heads from the summer to try and catch a bar of silver. Well, who would have thought I would have found 1/2 a dozen mackerel whilst feathering at anchor. So I up sticks and went on the drift. It was lovely, no Ned for gloves but still chilly. Had one of about 4 to 5 lb, then lost a biggy, braid caught round rod tip!!!! Then a smaller 45cm bass. Great day! Home boat trucked away by half 2. R
