  1. You lot need to catch more fish! Now stop detracting from this thread!!!! [emoji3]
  2. We have already had the discussion about the day bed of course Matt!
  3. It looks like the boat was hit by another or more likely ended up on rocks. Either could have easily displacedn the cowling.
  4. The story is about a birth being filed but the video is amazing footage of a thresher hunting. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-30747971
  5. "Hired help" - wow! I thought I was just help! $$$$
  6. Marine Traffic app marinetraffic.com
  7. The ship has re floated today on the high tide, I saw it from Warsash today, it's huge!!! They are making very slow progress to Portsmouth as the ship is still at 45degrees!! Progress is .6kn according to the track of one of the tugs:
  8. Hi Alan! Are you stacking, pontooning or trailering the 175? It 175 is BIG! Even the 165 makes a number of other 16ft boats look tiny! Will you be using it locally or Soton Water? As I hear there maybe a new "feature" there!?!?!? Rob
  9. Maybe Brian with a NE wind and flooding tide!
  10. I am sure you have all seen the news. What's interesting for me is the change of direction the ship took. Below is an AIS track of the ship, looks like it made an intentional turn on to the bank. Maybe it was going down? Steering failure turned it to port?

You to and everyone else Brian! Tight lines and calm seas for all!!!!! Rob
  13. Lunker! Well done Dave!
  14. Well it all works!! We headed out and could turn left, could turn right! Bonus as the first test was navigating the bar(s) at Christchurch! Lovely day but no bars of silver. Or livebaits were made no so live by what I thought was cuttlefish. However, Alun managed to get one close enough to his boat to see they were squid. Cracking (of ice one slip) day on the water, stunning!
  15. You kept that quiet!!!! [emoji1] On a serious note, it sounds interesting and could appeal to a few. I have been amazed how many boats have been captivated by Dave's Annual Species Hunt. It really focused some energy and effort within the club. Good luck with the practice, would freshwater match fishing be at all relevant, for the times that boats / weather don't fall in to line? That's all about presentation, organisation and changing methods until finding what works!!! Best of luck and tight lines. Rob
  16. Damn phone, and yes, too many pies this year. Will be a lean jan!
  17. Engine nav on this evening and all is well! Even fitted a bulge pump (not needed though, should have check back of switch first!!!!!)
  18. I hope you were right Steve!
  19. Got one in Weymouth, my crew for tomorrow is coming from Portland tonight. So, assuming we can refit tonight, tomorrow is still on!!! Thanks to Charlie C for the initial telephone support!!!!
  20. Good effort chaps!
  21. Ok, anybody got one of the above they don't need? I need it tomorrow so will be phoning round the local area! I hope Tuesday is still on! Rob
  22. I hope to be too but.........!
  23. Not a chance! Though, I know a good place to sleep on board when I see one!
  24. I gave JV the once over yesterday and I'm well impressed! I have checked the crew seating and I looks good for a snooze on the way out to the wrecks so I'm happy!
