  1. ChrisE beat me to it.
  2. Graham Might be worth having a word with Jim (Small Fry), his mate Tony (Robton Engineering) would probably make you one to your own specification.
  3. Stuart and I will be there (Owermoigne). As my usual crew lives almost next door to the Village Hall, I'll get him there as well.
  4. Happy Birthday Martin.
  5. Thanks Guys.
  6. Dave Halfon-Hobbs was looking for a bigger boat.
  7. Martin was asking for suggestions for spending some of the club's money.....................................
  8. Jim Might be worthwhile having a chat with Gordon Moore to see what prop he was running, he had the same boat and engine.
  9. I shall probably be going to the one at Owermoigne.

    Help please

On my previous boat I had same as Rob, the Octahedral, I made up a bracket so it sat in the "Rain Catcher" position. Got to get one for MegaByte, it's one of the items Mike recommended when he did my Sea safety Check.

Derek If you mean the 2" tubular type, you ought to read this report first (look at the recommendations on page 32). They are not recommended (neither are the 4" tubular ones). QinetiQ Radar Relector Report
  12. Objection registered . Why on earth would they choose a site close to residential properties that people have worked hard for? You need a list of every councillor who supports the idea, so you can ensure they never get re-elected.
  13. I don't want to sound smug, but having checked back in the book, that is not a record that I entered, it was already in the database. When I checked the email address against the entry, it would appear that you entered it
  14. Ooooops. I'll put my hands up to that error, it was a 40lb Conger Eel, I obviously clicked on the next option in the dropdown. Sorry about that. Paul has now corrected it. Didn't want to make it look too easy

  16. That'swhat the books say!!!!! I've just checked the books and there are two entries for Thick Lipped Mullet by the same angler on the same day but on different boats.
  17. Think of it as driving uphill in a car, too high a gear and you'll never reach max revs, or max speed. Change down to the correct gear and it'll reach max revs and a higher speed. Driving a boat through water is like driving a car uphill.

    AWOL

I see the club is keeping up the average of at least one photo per month in BFM. This month it's Martin's turn, AWOL appears on page 67.
  19. You might find Adam's report interesting!!!! Adams report - Kimmeridge

    next week

Well, we got out for a spot of floundering in the harbour yesterday, my crew couldn't make it so I went with Derek on Sea Sparkle. The plan was to try a "Dead Cert" flounder mark provided by a mutual friend who is an ex charter skipper. Well three of us fished it and not one bite between us, so the "Dead" bit is correct. Could this be why he's an Ex Charter Skipper?
  21. As Graham said, Ragworm for bait. Anywhere between the river mouth and Baiter could produce a Flounder or a Bass. Although there doesn't appear to be much about. I was out with Derek yesterday, on Sea Sparkle, we fished a mark that was supposed to be a "Dead Cert", the Dead bit was spot on!!! So much for a mark from an ex charter skipper (perhaps that's why he's an ex Charter skipper!!!). There are plently of crabs about though.
  22. I'll pass that on, but the post might have been filled.
  23. Have you contacted Warrior about your problem? I've only ever heard good reports about their after care. When I collected mine, they couldn't have been more friendly, we chatted for a long time over a cup of coffee. Here's Paul's Email address paulhaynes@warriorboats.co.uk
  24. That's exactly what Diane said, but I pointed out that, I wouldn't be avaiable for looking after the grandchildren during school holidays (not to mention it would mess up my social life and fishing)!!!!
