Dommys getting married.........as best man, ive sorted his stag do for 2moz, its a fishing and golf day, then 30 lads hitting the town.....ive already got his outfit....a nice tight sexy short dress, plenty of lippy, blond wig and heels complete with stuffed bra. (oh, and a leopard skin thong) He has no idea, but i will post a pic when dressed up. He will never be able to show his face amongst hardened sea dogs again.... ooh, i cant wait...........

Peachy is still there, she was sold ages ago.
  3. p.s, like u actually had any diffuculty getting anyway, its just boats like Gnasher that u cant get crew for...haha p.p.s.... Whats the closest reported sightings of shark to in club waters? Do any rougue fish ever get into the solent or anound the ledge? Do they ever chase the maccy tight up to shore? Dont worry, im not planning a shark trip on my tiddler its just out of interest. I know there has been huge basking sharks spotted close in recently.
  4. i think u will find crew easier to come by now tom now there getting caught.
  5. cheers adam, sorry tom, my error. Nah Dom, just go down 4 a laugh. as u will prob kick my butt anyway.
  6. no Tom, weighed on Salterns, thats my scales, not the harbour.
  7. he didnt fair 2 well. I think he had trouble getting bait. I think he had some doggies, a thornie about 7-8lb and sum mini bream.
  8. sorry, a big bass would look bigger pound for pound, not smaller
  9. Thanks James, when u see them in the water, they actually look alot smaller than they actually are. Its because they are full of mud and are probabbly the heviest fish for there size that i know. A big bass would look smaller as they dont have the same density. Considering there like lumps of lead, they certainly pull your arm off. Maybe get the boat out for one next time and get one in the book.
  10. i know this mullet fishing dosnt interest all, but i just love it. It helps if u have a coarse fishing back ground as u are basically stalking them at very close range. Anyway, 10ft Rubican Wand, real loaded with 2lb line and the usual 16 barbless hook and tiny pole float. I text Paul D at 8.30ish to see if hes up for an hour, no answer there, so i grab the essentials and get to the wall at 8.45pm. Then feed a handful of mashed bread 6ft from the bank in 12 inches of water and wait for the fire works. 5mins later and 10 fish are heads down, 10 or so holiday makers gather around to watch the feeding frenzy. 5mins later and a decent fish of about 4lb is on the bank. 5mins later and there back, miss another and spook the lot. Then a 10 yard chuck to a moored boat and another is on. A long fight and a much better fish is in the net. A real fat beast just as its getting dark. Not a pb, but the first proper fish this summer. Weighed on the Salterns, net deducted and a reading of 7lb 70z. Im well happy. About to take a pic and the camera runs out of batteries, so its a dodgy pic off the phone. An old man takes the pic and manages to miss off the tail. Never mind. An enjoyable 30mins fishing. That makes it 3 sessions, each no longer than an hour and 6 mullet. These are getting easy.
  11. hes gona be down graded from Large Fries to Happy Meal soon...............Well done fellas, great angling.
  12. fishing for conger at night in the yak...........fair play..........Im not even brave enough to try at night for an eel of Gnasher yet..............(might try next week if weather is ok though)

  16. crew sorted
  17. As I cant fish Sunday , Dom is now going to be at the helm , anyone wanna crew fo him? His plan is to fish early untill about midday, starting on xray for pack tope and ray then maybe a bit of drifting for a bass. Out of mudeford about 5am. Dont pm him as hes not at his pc until monday, so call him on 07817791813 or pm me and i will have a word. Split fuel costs (not much). Dan. P.S...its aboard Gnasher which must be the smallest club boat (see my avator), so dont expect to fish in comfort, this is roughing it proper, but great fun, and hopefully plenty of fish . Dan
  18. cool, weve got sume numbers for the plotter, but im not going bruv, u got crew?
  19. ooh, very clever......lol when i hit 8knots the screen will flash, and the depth reading will freeze. When I slow down again, the normal reading will resume. Im guessing bubbly water is the problem so I want someone with more of an idea about 'mounting' than me.
  20. Ive just had a chat with my mate in Lonis and I can get Bass Floats for 2quid each. They support a decent amount of weight and come in either floro red or green tips. Cigar shaped inline floats.
  21. cheers paul, il give u a call 2moz nte and fix up when u are free to take a look. Dont need an expert, just someone who knows more than me....ok, thats the whole bloody forum
  22. Paul D, any chance you can check the position on my transducer at some point? the position is wrong. Thanks Dan
  23. noooooooooooooooo......dont sell it mate.....it means Gnasher is now the clubs smallest boat
  24. hey Rupe, i watched Go Fishing the other day, watching u chuck your rod after losing a good barbel is great viewing, fishing is so stress free...haha........ Well said, each to there own..... On the other hand, having a catch report section on this forum can encourage the more sucsessful people to baost a little bit and maybe encourages a bit of healthy competition.
  25. how big was the bass at hurst? i tried there last week in poor conditons, but want to try again, i missed one, but found maccy hard to come by. Dont know where the maccy are, as we managed 2. was the bass on a live maccy? i would of thought a doormat weighs 2plus, i got a pic of a beast in the gallery, but landed that from shore. That went 2lb 10oz i think.
