I can't remember if this is possible, but go into safe mode then system restore and go back to a date you know it was working
  6. Paul & I decided to do a bit of pleasure fishing off the ledge rather than all the hastle of the comp. Set off about 8.30 from Wick and the weather was fantastic, the sea was like a mill pond and our secret bream mark was also the secret mark for another 25+ boats. After a small domestic over the benefits of precision anchoring we settled on a patch between several boats about the size of a snooker table. It proved to be hard going. Only squeaking out a few Wrasse. Many boats decided not to wait for the turn of the tide even one or two of the charters. The minute the boat came round on the ebb we started getting bites. Paul & I getting about 4 each (Paul seem to have the edge on quality although the best fish went to me of just over 2lb. As the tide built up so the bites died away. A steady cruise back behind Adam & Rachel and we left them with Paul J trying to tempt the mullet or bass. We are glad we persevered. Thanks for a good day out Paul. The hand reared, GM free, corn fed, free range bacon in cheap white rolls were great.
  7. Mike isn't it Ruby Murray (curry) and Rosey Lee (tea) ?

    George Bush

George Bush has a heart attack and dies. Obviously, he goes to hell where the devil is waiting for him. "I'm not sure what to do," says the devil. "You're on my list but I have no room for you. As you definitely have to stay here, I'm going to have to let Someone else go. I've got three folks here who weren't quite as bad as you. I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I'll even let you decide who leaves." George thought that sounded pretty good, so he agreed. The devil opened the first room. In it were Richard Nixon and a large pool of hot water. He kept diving in and climbing out, over and over. Such was his fate in hell. "No!" George said. "I don't think so. I'm not a good swimmer and don't think I could stay in hot water all day." The devil led him to the next room. In It was Tony Blair with a sledge hammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing the hammer, time after time. "No!" I've got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant agony if all I could do was break rocks all day." commented George. The devil opened a third door. In it, George saw Bill Clinton lying on the floor with his arms staked over his head, and his legs staked in a spread-eagle pose. Bent over him was Monica Lewinsky, doing what she does best. George Bush looked at this in disbelief for a while and finally said, "Yeah, I can handle this." The devil smiled and said, "Ok, Monica, you're free to go!"
  9. A young Portsmouth woman was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the sea. But just before she could throw herself from the docks, a handsome young sailor stopped her. You have so much to live for," said the sailor. "Look, I'm off to America tomorrow & I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take care of you, bring you food every day & keep you happy." With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always wanted to go to America, the woman accepted. That night the sailor brought her aboard & hid her in a lifeboat. From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches and make l0ve to her until dawn. Three weeks later she was discovered by the captain during a routine inspection. What are you doing here?" asked the captain. "I have an arrangement with one of the sailors," she replied. "He brings me food and I get a free trip to America. Plus he's scr3w1ng me. "He certainly is," replied the captain. "This is the Isle of Wight Ferry".
  10. I guess you will be looking for top crew again Adam Ready with top quality bacon for those Blue warrior heart stoppers
  11. Alun came to my rescue and offered me a place on a bream trip to southbourne. With combining a number tactics and methods we had a great day with some where in the region of 60 fish on the boat, keeping just a few for the pot. When we first got there at just after 9ish we were joined by another 6 or 7 boats (including Neo for a spell) and we were more or less catching from the off. It died on the slack and only 3 boats stayed but we had the last laugh as they came on again once the tide got moving and we both had a few chunky ones in the 11/2lb range. We finaly set of home at about 4 and tried for a few maci but they didn't want to play. My first proper bream day. Thanks Alun
  12. Sam Did I miss something 11lb smaller than 8lb 8oz
  13. Or Saturday
  14. Anyone need crew for Sunday? The tides are quite small so perhaps a session on a wreck or 2 to see if we can haul in a conger or 2? I can bring a couple of marks if required and I always pay my share of the day Pleeeeeeese regards Gordon
  15. Day 3 tough day with only 5 on the main boat, Adam spitting nails as he dropped 3 good fish. Tom had a slightly better day I believe. No more details
  16. First text from Adam, 4 am start to avoid wind. (doesnt say if thats after the breakfast!) 2 dozen good pollock and 4 ling on the wrecks but banks are fishing slow. I guess Pual must have been unlucky to miss out on a pollock. Everyone knackered and in bed I will forward tomorrows text to Paul D as I am away for the night
  17. Now Cushdy has gone and probably not looking to replace in the imediate future, I am selling my plotter. Similar model to the one Bob demonstrated at the meetings but no sounder. Full colour and comes with Navionics Gold map covering the south of England. Above the Thames round to Burnham on sea (
  18. Rich, thanks for the abuse as I was piloting BW to meet Adam at the car park. I don't think the Captain on the Ferry Cat heard But did you get a 17lb Cod A cod, cod, cod, yes a 17lb cod
  19. And I am now bloated. Me and the FPO manged to finish off a side between us, in batter with chips and peas. It came on a 10lb class rod with a Shimano 400. Lovely fight, taking line for several minutes. Another good day on BW
  20. Went on Boats and Outboards and went for 4300 after 2 days so I am pleased with that. At the moment crewing for Paul or Adam is keeping me busy so my own boat justs sits on the drive. If the crewing situation changed I would expect to look for another boat but one a bit more like a warrior or Samurai.
  21. Adrienne and I had a great time enjoyed the company. Nice to meet the better half Tom. Thanks to every one who helped to organise

  23. James I have just bought a digital SLR to get the quality. But cheap mega pixals won't give you a good picture. Most will take good shots out doors when ther is plenty of light. You need to get the most you can for your money and buy a good brand to get the quality of lens and speed of the image processing. Canon sony Nikon or olympus will all be good. Even if you buy 6 million pixels, your shots won't be any better than if you take in 3 million unless you blow them up to A4 I would look on the forums or even consider ebay for a cheaper nearly new branded Good Luck
  24. Hey Charlie, That strip light should work well on those night trips, but won't you be restricted by the extension lead

    Accident

I almost cried when I looked at this pic... Gut Wrenching. A friend sent this photo of a horrible highway accident in Germany. The picture may be kind of hard to take for some of you. If you look closely you can see what appear to be some survivors of the accident still in the wreckage. Although the picture is quite graphic, it makes you realize how quickly our loved ones can be taken from us. My friend stayed on the scene to help and even though he performed mouth to mouth on quite a few of them, none apparently survived.
