Come on you electronics wizards, Each time I turn on the GPS I get interference on the VHF, in the way of a signal bar surgesting that I am transmitting. Although the radio seems to work ok, I guess it can't be right. I have tried various changes to no avail. Different arial on VHF, changed the live feed from a different switch bank, used a ferite ring on live feed on both, moved the arial and cable away from the GPS, disconected the GPS arial cable. The only way to stop it is to disconnect the VHF arial. Help please, any ideas

I was earning BPs on Sunday, took FPO for lunch then sneaked out for a mullet in the harbour. I am going to have to work at the technique as I spent the first couple of hours getting a dace a chuck. Then got moved by a yachty wanting his anchorage back. Selfish! As the tide slowed hooked into my first thick lipped, only a small one at 2lb 7oz then dropped another, both taking me out into the river even on 5lb hook length. When the tide stopped took my last and best fish another thick lipped at 3lb 9oz which fought really well even in 6 feet of water, spending the entire time shaking its head under the boat. Fantastic fun on course tackle and a centre pin. Then the tide turned and apsolutely hurtled in and as it was then getting dark decided to call it a day. About 10lb of dace to 10oz and a brace of nice, hard fighting mullet.

you will probably find they are similar just a size difference. I would think that you should have some sort of fibre washer in there as it works similar to a clutch.

A question for you techies out there. Have recently finished my A frame and a new base loaded arial, I have noticed that as soon as I turn on the GPS the Transmission signal bar shows 75% power. This only goes up normal when I press the handset button to transmit. Any ideas. I currently have the coax running past the GPS arial and the 2 cables running together down the A frame. Must be a black art these electronics

Yes, quite a good day. ( Paul it was 4oz ) Fabulous day, the fishing was steady once we got anchored up, although Paul was getting more and more verbal vilant as I put 6 species over the side before he even had a bite. Best fish of the day was a Smut, about 5lb and on the light tackle fought all the way to the net. The testing of the deck.... ah well when you loose your first really decent Bass on live joey, stamping my foot on the deck was the only thing I could think of at the time. Even more frustrating when I had done the hooking bit right only for the leader to snap. I can only think it must have been chaffed during the days fishing. Anyway I think that Paul and I are rapidly becoming the new James and Adam!! ( Although our scales are accurate ) I finished with 125 points and I am definately going back for another try for those Bass. Thanks Paul
